Nicole by OPI Roughles Collection Press Release & Promo Pictures

Nicole by OPI Roughles CollectionThere has been a lot of nail news coming down the pipe, hasn’t there?

Well, just when you thought it stopped, I’m here to say (like Ron Popeil), “But wait! There’s more!”

No, I’m not going to promise you a free set of knives or tell you about a rotisserie that lets you ‘set it and forget it’. 😉

Instead, I have something way cooler – the Nicole by OPI Roughles Collection press release!

It includes 4 textured nail polish that have a speckled appearance, which reminds me of dinosaur eggs. Very interesting! And since they’re light shades, they remind me of Easter eggs.

Haha, the name of this collection, Roughles, is pronounced as “Ruffles”! I was hungry while preparing this blog post, so when I thought of Ruffles, images of flavoured potato chips sprung instantly to mind. (I hope I didn’t get any drool on the keyboard!) 😉

What’s your favourite flavour of Ruffles chips? (I really like All Dressed.)

P.S. Remember, you can still vote for me daily until February 25 in the Nicole by OPI challenge I entered. Click the link to learn more about how you can vote for me on Twitter and see the nail art I painted.

P.P.S. Also, don’t forget to enter my nail-polish giveaway, Canadians! Until February 28, enter for your chance to win the entire OPI Brazil Collection! (Multiple entries are possible. See the post for details.)

Nicole by OPI Announces NEW Limited Edition

Roughles Textured Nail Lacquers

This March, Nicole by OPI launches Roughles (“ruffles”) — 4 new textured nail lacquers featuring speckled, pastel shades of purple, pink, turquoise and yellow. When the lacquer dries, Roughles lacquers reveal a unique pebbled finish. Roughles should be applied without a top coat to achieve a matte effect.

“Chic pastels were a major trend throughout the runway collections at spring/summer 2014 shows and textured, matte nails are going to be one of the hottest looks this spring,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “Wearing these feminine shades on fingers and toes is a refreshing take on this trend. Pair these lacquers with candy colored fabrics and flirty floral prints to really make a statement!”

Roughles shades include:

      Hey Melissa!

I hope you enjoy them! They are so Easter-y, and with the cold winter this year, anything that makes me think of the spring is welcome!

I really like I’m Stucco on You and my favorite flavor of Ruffles is Cheddar & Sour Cream. 🙂 I never heard of All Dressed, so I looked it up and they seem to be only in Canada. If I ever make my way to Canada, I’ll have to try some. 🙂

I’ve already seen some swatches of these on Beautygeek and I just don’t know what to think of them haha.. I do prefer glittery textured polishes, but these colors are also really pretty. I do like the yellow and the blue one.

I’m so excited for these! I have been wanting a mint green sand polish. This one looks more interesting than the one in the China Glaze collection.

      Hey Molly!

This one definitely has a different spin than the other. Hope you like this one when you wear it! 🙂 I hope to be reviewing some of these in March. Things are very hectic for me (getting ready to move soon), but once things settle down, I plan to get to reviewing these.
