Quick Look: Gwen Stefani by OPI Collection Pictures & Swatches

Gwen Stefani by OPI Collection Swatches & PicturesStop the presses! Hold the polish!

Hehe, yesterday, I came home from work to these 6 shades from theΒ Gwen Stefani by OPI Collection, so I was fast on the draw to put together this Quick Look post.

Many nailphiles are also fans of Gwen Stefani, so there’s lots of anticipation surrounding this collection that will hit stores in January 2014.

Since this is only a Quick Look post, that means I’ll show you bottle shots and swatches.

Later on, when I wear each one as a full manicure, I’ll publish separate in-depth reviews with more swatches in more lighting conditions, so you’ll get a better idea of their personalities.

If you’re interested in reading the official Gwen Stefani by OPI Collection press release and seeing the promo pictures, click on that link.

For now, here’s a little something to whet your appetite! πŸ˜‰ Enjoy!

Note:Β The polishes that will be in stores will have special shrinkbands around the handles. Mine don’t have them because they were provided to me by PR.

There are 7 shades in the Gwen Stefani by OPI Collection.Β In this post, you’ll see 6 of them. (Push and Shove is the only colour that’s missing.)

All photos were taken with flash, and all swatches have 2 coats.

      Hey Allison!

The finish is really edgy and cool! Also, I liked Gwen’s song, “4 in the Morning” back in the day, so I’m a bit biased. πŸ˜‰

      Hey Erin!

I’m actually wearing that pink today! It’s very saturated. Will review it in-depth as soon as I can. πŸ™‚ I’ve already taken photos, but I just need to crop them and then work on a write-up.

Mmm…. such yummy shades, sophisticated, fun, fashion forward, like Gwen herself. I am hoping the last one will be edgy. I had in mind this collection would push the envelope a bit, since Gwen is a trend setter, not afraid of risk. Clearly, OPI wants to play it safe, but this one is more out there than, say, Mariah or Carrie Underwood collections. I’d say the satin finish are the most attractive and the edgiest ones. When I think of Gwen, I think of red, of course, black and white, platinum and orange because she sings about her Orange county roots. Hopefully OPI will do some more collabs like this- best one since the Nicki Minaj collection!

      Hey Lorraine!

I thought that the OPI Mariah Liquid Sands were really edgy and amazing. I like her holiday collection, but her Liquid Sands (especially Get Your Number) were real winners in my book!

I LOVE the two satin finish ones. When I first heard about this collection the first colors that popped in my head were red, black and gold or other metallics.

I am beyond excited for this collection! I grew up listening to No Doubt and Gwen Stefani and even saw her in concert! 4 In The Morning looks really interesting (also one of my favorite song of hers.) The only bummer is that the red is only available with the box set, maybe they will do a mini set with it in it? I’m also dying to know what Push and Shove looks like, from the description it sounds like it maybe similar to Moonraker from the Bond Collection!
