First thing’s first. I want to make it very clear that I’m not a Twilight fan. Saw the first movie when my sister-in-law ‘forced’ me to and practically fell asleep because I didn’t like the characters or the plot. Totally don’t understand the phenomenon.
When I saw the Bath & Body Works Vampire Blood PocketBac, Twilight immediately came to mind. Maybe Bath and Body Works planned this? I wouldn’t be surprised, especially since they came out with what they’re calling their ‘Fragrance of the Year’, Twilight Woods.
Despite not liking Twilight, I still bought the Vampire Blood PocketBac. Bath & Body Works made the gel red, of course, and it really catches your eye among their other hand sanitizers. Plus I hadn’t seen this scent available at 2 of my other local stores, so I figured I’d try this bestseller.

Bath & Body Works Vampire Blood PocketBac Review
Does the thought of blood make you squirm? The Bath and Body Works Vampire Blood PocketBac may change your mind. It has a plum fragrance.
Unlike Bat Bite and Zombie Squad (which I both previously reviewed), Vampire Blood has a boring label. Yes, it glows in the dark, but it doesn’t feature a cool bat or a zombie hand. They literally got lazy and didn’t even make a graphic glow in the dark – it’s just the text that lights up! BORING! They could’ve done so much more with this one…like glow-in-the-dark dripping blood.
As for the rest of the packaging, it’s a travel-friendly size with a transparent bottle that lets you see the solid black beads suspended in a translucent medium red gel.
The cap is easy to open, but it’s secure enough to prevent any handbag accidents.
I like how Bath & Body Works sales are always economical – they were 3 for $5 CAD. Very budget-friendly! And it’s nice to test-drive a scented anti-bacterial gel that doesn’t smell of sharp alcohol. The Bath and Body Works Vampire Blood PocketBac has a sweet, fruity scent that does, in fact, remind me of a ripe plum.

The red hand sanitizer gel isn’t something you see every day. For that alone, I suggest picking this up. Pulling this out of your purse is bound to elicit conversation!
