China Glaze Sun of a Peach Swatches & Review

China Glaze Sun of a Peach Swatches & ReviewChina Glaze Sun of a Peach is the saucy nail polish from the Sunsational Collection. Every time I say its name, I giggle because apparently I am just sooooo mature. 😉 But, hey, finding happiness in small things daily does wonders for the soul, right?

As the feisty name would suggest, this is a peachy nail polish, but don’t be fooled by my photos in natural light, this hottie is bright like a neon. It’s more orange in real life.

You can definitely see its personality shine through even more when I tried to capture it with my camera’s flash. You’ll notice how it freaks out my camera – love it when bright shades do that! 🙂

Key Notes

China Glaze Sun of a Peach Review

Colour

Sun of a Peach by China Glaze is a vivid peachy orange that’s full of life like a firecracker being lit. Indeed, when you’re wearing something so lively, you’ll be staring at your nails an awful lot like a vain polish peacock! 😉

It’s a more saturated neon orange than the kind you see in something like the powder in those macaroni and cheese boxes. This has more oomph!

Finish

Sun of a Peach by China Glaze has a creme finish, so it provides a very clean and simple look that really allows the shocking colour to take to the stage.

Application & Formula

This was streaky, but I find that a lot of peachy shades I’ve tried tend to be this way, so maybe it has something to do with the pigment.

Once you apply a shiny, clear top coat, everything evens out so well. Without the top coat, I don’t think I’d wear this polish because the streakiness looks sloppy.

The good thing is that it only took 2 medium coats for me to achieve full opacity.

Pros

  • Very bright peachy orange
  • Creme finish is simple & cute
Cons

  • Formula is streaky (But the appearance can be improved by wearing a clear, shiny top coat)

Final Verdict: 8.5/10

There’s something about bright orange nail polishes that never fails to make me think of summer and those sunny days! Sun of a Peach by China Glaze is like everything I love about warm weather in a bottle.

If you’re looking for a nail polish to make you think of swimming, having BBQs, and strolling through the park, this is definitely a shade you should get your hands on!

Do you wear orange lacquer often? When you eat peaches, do you peel the skin or eat the fuzz, too? Have you read James and the Giant Peach?

This is not a colour I normally wear but I find myself liking this colour…it reminds me of a really bright creamsicle!

This color really makes me want a Creamsicle too. I don’t wear orange or peach nail polish often, but when I do I notice myself staring at my hands a lot. Can you believe I’ve never read James and the Giant Peach? I must’ve zoned out in school more than I thought ;).

      Hey Tanya!

Well, it’s never too late to start reading it! 😉 My favourite from Roald Dahl is The Witches. Loved the book so much, and the movie was equally amazing. I really need to re-read that. Seems like the last time I read it was when I was in grade school. Far too long!

      Hey Olivia!

It seems like there aren’t many orange nail polishes released. Normally they’re in Hallowe’en or summer collections. It would be interesting to see more and to find out how companies would inevitably put a twist on it.

      Hey Kellie!

Good question! I don’t have many shades like this in my collection. The closest is China Glaze Peachy Keen, but I remember that one being paler than this.
