China Glaze That’s Shore Bright from the Sunsational Collection was exactly the summery shade I needed to sport to make my nails smile.
Even though my cuticles were on the drier side at the time I wore this, I mainly paid attention to the cute colour – a fun lilac!
I love how this adorable shade has a creamy look to it, and it reminds me of Easter.
Pastel purples are soft and feminine without being too traditional. I think that’s why I like most.

China Glaze That’s Shore Bright Review
Colour
That’s Shore Bright by China Glaze is a bright purple, but it’s definitely not a retina-burning neon. I’d describe it more as a bright pastel. Instead of being anaemic, it has a little ‘bite’ to it, just so you know it’s alive and kicking. 😉
While it looks soft and creamy on the nail, there’s something about it that really adds definition to your manicure. This shade is fun and perfect for the summer. And, maybe it’s just me, but I find lilacs like this to be elegant, even if it’s brighter than a traditional pastel.
Finish
China Glaze That’s Shore Bright has a creamy finish that I love. And, unlike China Glaze Neon & On & On from the same Sunsational Collection, this baby applied wonderfully smooth and not nearly as streaky.
Since it has a creme finish, it’s also a breeze to remove. You won’t need to scrub your fingers hard. It comes off easily.
Application & Formula
That’s Shore Bright by China Glaze applied easily, and I recommend you try it, especially if you’re new to nail polish and don’t want to struggle with application.
When you’re starting out and developing your polishing technique, it’s always nice to work with a polish that doesn’t act like Sin Cara and force you to wrestle. 😉 That’s Shore Bright is one of the polishes you’ll appreciate. But, it’s important to remember that even if your manicure doesn’t turn out picture-perfect, as long as it makes you happy, that’s what counts.
The formula of this China Glaze Sunsational nail polish gave me great opacity with just 2 medium coats.

That’s Shore Bright by China Glaze has made it onto my list of pastel-purple nail polishes that I will wear again. I love how while it has an Easter-y feel, it’s not so pastel that it looks like it’ll faint. It has enough colour saturation that makes it more flattering. (Sometimes I find the really light and milky shades to accentuate the natural redness in my hands.)

Very pretty! If you ever have the time I’d love to see a mash up of summer colours that are neons (I’m looking for super bright neons currently) and maybe another post on summer colours that are bright but not necessarily SUPER BRIGHT neons (bright creams etc). 🙂

Hehe, actually, this photo was a manicure that I wore over a week ago. I just posted the reviews out of order. 🙂 But, yes, here, they’re longer. I grew them out longer, but eventually had to cut them down really short. I really enjoy all nail lengths and can’t seem to maintain just one, so I cut them to nubs, grow them really long, and then cut them back down. 🙂

It was from a local beauty-supply store that had a discount on the entire 6-piece set. I couldn’t resist purchasing all the creme shades – bright and fun! 🙂
I have a shade nearly identical to that. I find it’s a great color for art- as a base for striping tape manis, also in gradients and in water marbles 😀
In fact, it’s an ingredient in the polish I’m wearing now, a franken I made with this and three others!

Three out of the four are a domestic brand called Chic- a dark vampy grape, a dupe of the China Glaze in this post (is it still a dupe if it was out first?) and a red jelly. It came out to a great medium fuchsia, and then I added a whole bunch of a Color Club whose name I can’t remember off the top of my head, but it might have been Hocus Pocus.
