Hand me a shovel already because I’m seriously digging the OPI Liquid Sand nail polishes so far!
I just couldn’t resist playing around with two Liquid Sands from the OPI Bond Girls Collection (which comes out in May) – Tiffany Case (blue) and Honey Ryder (gold).
Since I was already wearing OPI Honey Ryder, I decided to do a quick-and-dirty Scotch Tape manicure that I’ve tried before with other colours. So…here’sĀ OPI Liquid Sand Nail Art!
This time, though, instead of having all the triangles pointing the same way, I flipped alternating nails to keep it interesting.
For some reason, they remind me of icicles or raindrops, even though the look wasn’t intentional.
OPI Liquid Sand Nail Art Swatches
All swatches have:
- Essie First Base (Base Coat)
- 2 coats of OPI Honey Ryder (gold – Provided by PR)
- 1 coat of OPI Tiffany Case (blue – Provided by PR)
- No top coat!

It was a little tricky using tape over the texture. I had to really press the tape down to make sure it’d stick. But, the bonus is that the Liquid Sands dry so quickly, so there’s hardly any wait time!
I would have never thought to do tape on a liquid sand, this is definitely different and interesting looking. I love the colors in this mani, although you can guess how I feel about the look in general. š

Haha, getting the tape to stick on the Liquid Sand was a little tricky. The pieces kept wanting to pop off, but I just had to keep pressing them down hard.

I got my first liquid sand! And it’s all your fault! <3 I was so taken with your swatch of What Wizardry Is This that I went out and bought it, along with Sprung. I'm getting into a bad habit where I buy things you rate 10/10 XD
P.S. I went back and looked at the entries for those polishes, and I realize you asked me how much a harp costs, and I never answered! Honestly, that vastly varies depending on the size and quality of the harp. Assuming you want me to rule out anything below "decent", it can vary from $400 (your basic, no lever harpsicle, 3.5 octaves) to over $35,000 for a top of the line concert grand floor harp (same rage as a piano, with levers and all the bells and whistles). And it can be much more than that, if you're looking at custom made/custom carved/rare types of harps. And that's without even getting into double-strung or triple-strung! Needless to say, the world of harps is a complicated one š
My own harp cost $1,000- I got it secondhand, it has levers on four notes (meaning I can change the pitch of four notes for each octave), and it has a four octave range. Perhaps one day in the distant future I'll also get a floor harp, but I'm very happy with mine! A lot of people sell their first smaller harp to help fund a bigger one, but I could never do that, I'm far too attached!

That’s amazing how you have your own harp – must sound like you’re in heaven when you’re playing. Very unique! I love the sound of harps, and it’s an instrument that not many people play, which only makes it cooler, in my opinion.
