OPI Bond Girls Collection Swatches, Pictures & Press Release

OPI Bond Girls Collection Swatches, Photos & Press ReleaseWith the OPI Bond Girls Collection due out at the beginning of May, you can channel your inner Bond Girl…even if you’re wearing sweatpants and fuzzy rabbit slippers while noisily munching on buttered popcorn. (I can’t confirm or deny that I’m describing myself at this very moment.) 😉

As you know, yesterday, I had an incredible opportunity to attend an exclusive product launch with Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of OPI! (I’ll be working on a detailed post to share my experience with all of you, so stay tuned! I also have something special planned for my readers. Hint hint! Edit: Click on the above link to the post. It’s live now!)

There were actually two collections revealed – the OPI Bond Girls Collection was one of them.

Get this – the collection introduces six brand new Liquid Sand shades! (I’m so excited about this because I’ve been a big fan of the Liquid Sand finish ever since I tried the Mariah Carey by OPI Collection ones!)

And, oh my goodness, in the swag bag they gave out at the end of the event, I received the entire collection! (Christmas clearly can come any time of year for a ‘big kid’ like me.) I’m so thankful to Suzi and the Langton Communications staff for their continued generosity and high level of professionalism!

In this post, I’ve included photos of the actual bottles in the OPI Bond Girls Collection, and I’ve typed up the press release they included in the swag bag.

Plus, since they conveniently included nail boards with swatches, I’ve photographed all those, too, so you can see each polish in action and so you’ll know how it’ll really look on your nails!

(When I wear each shade and eventually review them, expect the usual in-depth descriptions and information. But, for now, here’s a quick look at the exciting collection of new Liquid Sands! Think of this post like an overview.)

Oh my gosh! I love these! They are so cute! I see myself buying all of these, except for jinx. Tiffany Case, Solitaire and Vesper NEED to be in my life! It looks like Tiffany Case is a lighter, more sparkly blue than get your number, and I LOVED that one. They are gorgeous! Can’t wait for the full reviews!

Yessss, that was my reaction, too. I just fell in love with the Liquid Sands, so the more, the merrier! I really hope that one day, OPI will come out with a strong green Liquid Sand. That would be a dream come true!

You’re very welcome, by the way. It’s totally my pleasure. I’m just really happy to be able to share my passion and enthusiasm with others who are also very passionate and enthusiastic!

I kind of need all of them. Yes, all of them. Solitaire is so stunning, and surprisingly so is Pussy Galore. I’m going to love telling people what I have on my nails. “Oh it’s Honey Ryder with an accent of Pussy Galore!”

I need Solitaire in my life!! It looks like snow with diamonds! This May is around finals time for me–maybe if I do well I’ll splurge on a couple of these shades :). Haha I think “Bond Girls” is a very appropriate theme–I remember excitedly telling my dad about OPI’s Skyfall collection. His reaction was, “Since it’s geared towards women anyway, why didn’t OPI do a collection featuring the Bond Girls instead?” Well, now I can tell him that they have. Can’t wait to see the full post about your OPI event adventure!

looking forward to seeing your swatches-right now I think my picks would be solitaire, pussy galore & vesper (I love how your pics show that it’s actually purple-all the other photos I’ve seen made it look just black:))
btw, have you seen the sneak peek of OPI’s autumn San Francisco collection? the blue sands there are officially gorgeous:3

Yes, I know. I feel very lucky to have these in my collection, but even more grateful that OPI invited me to such an important event!

Vesper is definitely a dark purple, but in the bottle, I can see how it looks super dark.

Yes, at the exclusive OPI event I attended, they also unveiled the OPI San Francisco Collection. It’s the Fall/Winter Collection, but it’ll be available in August. More details on my blog to come. Hint hint! 😉

Really? I was ga-ga crazy over Get Your Number (the blue from the Mariah Carey Collection). It’s actually what first got me hooked onto the Liquid Sands and sold me on the whole concept!

Vesper and Honey Ryder are gorgeous. I dunno about this whole textured polish thing, I don’t think I could stand to wear it myself, though it looks so pretty. I might pick up one of the Liquid Sands from the collections already out just to see, and if I like it I’ll definitely track down the Bond Girls when they come out. Thank you for the beautiful swatches.

      Hey Ms Heathen!

Before I tried Get Your Number (the blue from the Mariah Carey Collection), I also didn’t think I’d go crazy over the Liquid Sands. But when you try it for the first time, it really is an experience…and it’s memorable! Give it a shot. If you don’t like the texture, you can put a shiny top coat over it. But, I bet you’ll like the texture. It’s not sharp like you may expect.

Mary thanks again for your reviews. Let me begin with your review of Mariah Carey Liquids Sands Collection. I have always wanted to try a matte look on my nails but not sure if it would look good as good as in the pictures I’ve seen (not yours). Your review and pictures gave me courage to try this collection in mini sizes. The great thing about them is theu have texture yet smooth and just the right amount of sparkle. I’ve tried them all on my toes. No surprises they look as good as you showed them. I have gel nails and have not tried them on my hands. I love having nail art on my fingernails. It does seem these colors are even more beautiful. Hoping I’ll try them on my hands.

If you don’t like gold in general, yeah, I can see why you’re not interested in Honey Ryder.

I used to overlook gold…until OPI GoldenEye from the Skyfall Collection came out. That one blew me away! Now I like to give a lot of golds a chance.

I was in a public place when I read this. Embarrassing.

I love James Bond. I love nail polish (especially OPI). And I love textured nail polish (especially liquid sand).

I might have to start saving now otherwise I may start crying if I can’t have them all …

Also I’ve mentioned this post on my blog – I hope you don’t mind! B x

My workaround is to just apply another coat after 3 days or so on the nails where i see the silver 😉 i made it last for about 5 days that way!
