Slatkin & Co. Pumpkin Carving Candle Review & Pictures

Slatkin & Co. Pumpkin Carving Review & PicturesIt should come as no surprise that I’m a huge fan of anything with pumpkin in it.

Even though we’re approaching spring, part of me longs for autumn to come around first. 😉

Wow, it has been quite a while since my last scented-candle review, hasn’t it? (But, hey, go check it out…haha, it was for another pumpkin scented candle! :D)

Today I’m excited to share the Slatkin & Co. Pumpkin Carving Candle with you. And I wouldn’t have it in my possession if not for Frosso, a generous and thoughtful reader who also is the blogger of Lacquer Me Silly. (Thank you soooooooooooo much!)

Slatkin & Co. Pumpkin Carving Candle Review

Fragrance

The Slatkin & Co. Pumpkin Carving candle doesn’t disappoint. It definitely smells of pumpkin – not the raw kind, but more like pumpkin pie. The name of the candle is misleading!

(Pumpkin pie is my favourite type of pumpkin scent because there’s some spiciness that makes me crave the sweet treat!)

If you’re trying to stay away from dessert (Pfft! Haha, sorry, but pfffffft!), then you probably shouldn’t tempt yourself by burning this amazing candle.

It’s cozy, yummy, and everything you love about pumpkin pie. Just remember that it’s wax! (What are those bite marks doing on my candle? Just kidding!) 😉

Scent Throw

This is the small (not mini) size, and I was pretty pleased with the scent throw in a small room. It carried very well, and I didn’t have to strain to catch a whiff of Pumpkin Carving!

Burning

As with most of the Slatkin & Co. candles I’ve tried, this one’s no exception – it burned evenly and cleanly without any tunnelling.

Seasonal Availabilty

Slatkin & Co. Pumpkin Carving was available around the fall only, so you won’t find this in stores now. But, as I mentioned before, there’s always a possibility that Bath & Body Works might resurrect a scent. Sometimes they do that and just give it a new name.

Pros

  • Smells like yummy pumpkin pie
  • Burns evenly & cleanly
Cons

  • No longer available (It had a very limited run)

Final Verdict: 10/10

I absolutely am in love with Pumpkin Carving by Slatkin & Co. because pumpkin pie is one of my favourite desserts. I’m so thankful to have this in my candle collection! 🙂

What’s your favourite dessert-scented candle? What season do you enjoy the most? What’s the latest candle you’ve purchased?

I absolutely love Slatkin & Co candles. I probably have 15-20 of the 3-wick ones in all sorts of different scents. As far as dessert go…I have a sugared doughnut one that smells delicious!

      Hey Camille!

You sound like me! 🙂 I also have TONS of the 3-wick candles and some of the smaller candles. (Haha, I thought about doing a ‘candle collection post’ for fun.)

Oh yes, I have a mini of the Sugared Donut one, and it’s soooo yummy-smelling!

      Hey Lizzy!

I’ve never actually looked at the candle section in Wal-Mart…well, partially because I don’t really shop there because it’s a trek from my place. Do they have great candles? Any you’d recommend?

How did I miss this one? I stock up on candles in the fall and winter and just burn them year round since I don’t like many summer scents. Right now I’m burning Winter, even though spring is coming!

      Hey Barbara!

Winter is such a great candle! I remember loving it – I have a back-up of it because I loved it so much.

Hehe, even though it’s spring and a few days ago, we got spring-like weather, Mother Nature is up to her usual tricks. Today is SNOWED and it’s so cold! Spring, come back!

Yay! I’m happy you like the scent. You described it exactly 🙂 I actually preferred the pumpkin pie scent over a raw pumpkin scent I was expecting. Haha when I saw your post I actually just left the BBW fragrance event with another free candle… This time it wasn’t an exclusive scent but still yummy, peach market 🙂

I absolutely LOVE this scent. I’m hoping they have it again this fall and maybe with a 3-wick candle option. I was lucky enough that after the event BBW had some extra to purchase. Unfortunately I didn’t buy enough 🙁

      Hey Samantha!

Oh man – if they bring it back in the 3-wick, I’ll have to buy it. Haha, my candle collection is so large that I’ve stopped buying new ones for quite some time so I can use up what I have. But I’m a sucker for pumpkin scents – might have to make an exception. 😉 Let’s keep our fingers, toes, and eyes crossed that they bring it back! (Sorry, wallet!)
