You already know that I love nail polish, writing, and the colour green. But did you know that I love fashion, too?
While I’d never call myself a fashionista or style maven, I have subscribed to many fashion magazines since I was in elementary school, and I get just as excited about buying new clothes as I do about listening to amazing music. (Some of my favourite shows that I’ve watched are Project Runway, Fashion Police, and the old What Not to Wear.)
I enjoy participating in fashion trends, but haha, I know better than to try to partake in every single one. Basically I choose to follow the ones that fit into my personal style, although I also like to try new looks to broaden my horizons and to have fun. (Fashion, like beauty, is about having fun to me!)
PR sent me 4 press releases yesterday about how OPI Struts the Catwalk During New York Fashion Week. Although I’ve never posted anything like this on here, I felt it was something cool to share, so I hope that you’ll appreciate it.
To me, it’s very interesting seeing nail polish in action on the runway and to watch colour trends making their mark. Plus seeing the colours on different models shows you how versatile the hues really are.

Press Release #4:
JENNI KAYNE FALL/WINTER 2013 COLLECTION
ft. OPI MONSOONER OR LATER
February 8, 2013 – We’re delighted to announce that OPI joined Jenni Kayne today for their Fall/Winter 2013 presentation. Models wore OPI nail lacquer in MonSooner or Later. This bright coral red hue added a bold pop of color to the collection’s mix of dark camel, black, nude, emerald and gold.
The nails complemented a similarly bright shade on lips. Above is a close-up shot of the nails against Jenni Kayne’s deconstructed paisley done with bold absinthe yellow.
Do you own any of the OPI nail polishes featured in New York Fashion Week 2013? Which of the above looks do you like the most? Are you into fashion?
I have Don’t Pretzel My Buttons, but I haven’t used it yet. I thought it would be a good neutral basic, and it is, but I prefer brights and look at me nails. I love the name though, OPI has some really cute names and I love that Suzi’s name is in every collection.
Hey Cindi!
That one has the cutest name, doesn’t it?
I know what you mean about preferring eye-catching nails, but every now and then, it’s good to have a palate cleanser. Hope you like it when you give it a go! I remember when I tried OPI Glints of Glinda, I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Sometimes the right neutral can make you go gaga, even if you’re used to loud shades. 🙂
omg i love the lace nail art !!!! ♥

Hey Greta!
Have you tried any texture nail art like that? Would you?
That is pretty cool. 🙂 I like the lace nails, too.

Hey Lizzy!
Have you ever tried something like that? The closest I’ve done to it would be nail stamping with a lace pattern.
I think I prefer the darkies
Hey Icequeen81!
Hehe, I’m not surprised. You like the ‘dark side’. 😉
