Yesterday, OPI’s PR team sent me the OPI Euro Centrale Collection press release and promo pictures. From the moment I saw the bottle images, I got really excited because it looks like there’s a good assortment of colours!
Although this is the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, some of the polish names sound like they belong in a Hallowe’en collection – e.g. Vant to Bite My Neck? and My Vampire is Buff. But that’s okay by me because Hallowe’en is my favourite holiday.
Some of these colours are on their way to me, courtesy of OPI’s PR. I don’t know which shades, but you can be sure to expect upcoming reviews. Haha, probably within just hours of me opening the package, I’ll be painting my nails with one. 😉 Brand new polish is way too tempting!
From just looking at these bottle images, the ones I’m most curious about are Polka.com, You’re Such a BudaPest, Can’t Find My Czechbook, OY–Another Polish Joke!, and A Woman’s Prague-ative. But the other colours also look appealing. (A lot of times you can never tell just how gorgeous it’ll be until you see the bottle in person. I’m expecting to see some amazing shades, though, because even the bottle images look good!)
These are 12 colours in the OPI Euro Centrale Collection:
- Polka.com
- OPI…Eurso Euro
- Suzi’s Hungary AGAIN!
- You’re Such a BudaPest
- Can’t Find My Czechbook
- My Paprika is Hotter than Yours!
- Hands Off My Kielbasa!
- OY-Another Polish Joke!
- A Woman’s Prague-ative
- Vant to Bite My Neck?
- I Saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw
- My Vampire is Buff
The New Voice of Fashion
OPI Announces the Launch of Euro Centrale for Spring/Summer 2013
Classic meets contemporary with Euro Centrale by OPI for Spring/Summer 2013. Celebrating a region where history meets modern design, the collection’s twelve new nail lacquers offer a mixture of glamorous metallic hues; playful bright shades in periwinkle, aqua and pink; and creamy blues in indigo, midnight and aubergine.
“Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania make up an exciting new fashion hotspot,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “When visiting these countries, you’ll view Gothic churches alongside vibrant graffiti murals, blending two very different aesthetics. This fusion of old and new was also seen in runway looks during New York Fashion Week, where classic styles were reinvented with modern silhouettes and patterns.
“Euro Centrale boasts a wide variety of shades, ranging from pale nude to deep blue – and featuring everything from shimmering copper to aqua in between!,” continues Weiss-Fischmann. “Whether you’re looking to spice up a black and white print, or add neutrality to a vivid brocade, these lacquers are designed to accessorize spring’s hottest looks.”
Euro Centrale by OPI includes the following shades:

Which polish do you think is the star of the collection? If you had to choose 3 to wear in a single manicure, which would they be?
Lol being Hungarian I am very happy and delightfully surprised there are 3 Hungary-connected polishes in this batch (Suzi’s Hungary AGAIN! – You’re Such a BudaPest -My Paprika is Hotter than Yours!) and the names of the other polishes are also terrific, love them 😀
ps. I agree with you, they could have been more creative with the pun jokes regarding Romania instaed of just going with the vamp theme.
Hey Stella!
Hehe, My Paprika is Hotter than Yours is a cute name, isn’t it? 🙂 I think it would be a fun gift to give a chef or someone who likes to cook (AND, of course, loves polish!) 😉
Polka.com is definitely the star ! ive seen suzi wearing “cant find my czechbook” and polka.com and it looked amazing ! 😀

Hey Randi!
Oh, I need to find that photo you mentioned of Suzi wearing those shades. So far, I’ve only seen her with OPI…Eurso Euro, the deep blue.
oh i think that was what i’ve seen 😀 sorry, i was wrong it’s been eurso euro… but i think “cant find my czechbook” would be a good combo too !

Yes, it would be a good combination! 🙂
Can’t wait to see which ones you get! 🙂 I like the look of Polka.com as well. I think that would look good as an accent nail with Eurso Euro or Vant to Bite My Neck?.
Hey Jessica!
Same here! 🙂 I like being surprised, and the PR team really seem to know me well. The previous time they sent me stuff, I didn’t request any specific shades and they actually sent me every single shade I had my eye on. Haha, we were on the same polish wavelength! 😉
From the bottle images, I think you’re right about the layering combinations with Polka.com!
I liked the deep blue and deep midnight blue
Hey Icequeen81!
They look like they’ll be really regal shades!
I am never quite sure what will capture my fancy when all we have to see if the graphics of the bottles and the editor’s pick for the copy of color descriptions…I always find the bottle graphics to be a lot different than the product in real life. I guess there is a marketing strategy behind this that works because we see it done from a lot of the polish companies. Right now, I am not too excited over the cream shades because I feel I have seen them before. But are they maybe going to be ‘crelly’ finishes or maybe 1 or 2 will have an amazing coverage formula that many of us go nuts over? Hard to know. I am not a fan of glitters so don’t the glitter here will be one I want – I have a couple glitters in those shades and don’t wear them. I think the last OPI glitters I bought were the Muppet collection ones and never wore any of them! The turq seems like maybe we have seen a ton of this before. Ditto the orangy red – however I have a weak spot for warm reds so if the formula is great, I would probably go for that one. The gold and bronze..kind of depends if the finish is too frosty or what before I would know if they might be for me. It is interesting to see how much color there is here – it’s a bright collection. Looking so far like we are going to continue to see a ton of color in accessories come next yr!
Hey beachgal!
I like your term, “crelly” – creme-jelly hybrid? 🙂 Never heard it before. Sounds cool!
*Gasp* You never wore any of the Muppet Collection glitters? Not even layered over an accent nail? SHOCKING! 😉
I’m with Stella – being of Hungarian heritage I won’t be able to pass up those shades. Funny how when nail polish is more personalized it calls to you!

Hey Margo!
Definitely personalized things motivate you to buy, buy, buyyyy! 😉 (I’m still waiting for a polish to be called Mary. Zoya has “Mary J” and “Marry”, I believe, but no “Mary” yet!) I’d buy it just for the name, even if it was a poop-brown! 😛
I don’t know why but I’m just super excited for this collection! Other than polk.com none of them are super standouts but the collection just looks so pretty together and maybe I’m already ready for some lighter, springy shades. Can’t wait to see which ones you get and to see your swatches!
Hey Camille!
I know what you mean. Together, it seems like there’s so much variety. The bottles look good together. 🙂 Looking forward to wearing some colours as manicures and sharing my thoughts with you!
Can’t Find My Czechbook, You’re Such a Budapest, and Vant to Bite My Neck? are definitely my favorites from the promo pics. I’m a sucker for shades like this, even though I already have several of each color in my collection haha. I actually always enjoy the punny names Suzi comes up with- they keep me entertained and make me excited to wear them! Can’t wait to see your picks 🙂
Hey Shelby!
Hahahaha, I’m the same way. Even if I have something really similar, but the polish is slightly different, I still feel that urge to get it. *Sigh* The life of a nailphile. 😉
I can’t wait for Polka.com
Hey maddy!
I was curious to see what was on that site the polish is named after, but there was nothing there! Hmm…
Did you also try to visit the site because of the name? 🙂
When I saw a swatch of Czechbook the other day I knew I’d definitely have to get that one. So gorgeous. Really curious to see A Woman’s Prague-ative, looks like a nice copper. I’m feeling kind of excited about this collection, can’t wait till the swatches come flooding in. 😉
Hey Heather!
There are definitely a lot of options in this collection – something for everybody! 🙂 I haven’t tried Can’t Find My Czechbook yet, but in the bottle, it looks gorgeous!
