My friend was nice enough to lend me these blues from the China Glaze Cirque du Soleil Collection: Water You Waiting For and Hanging in the Balance!
Just like with my Green Fiend Nails, I decided to wear more than one shade as my manicure for these Blue Fiend Nails so that I could return her precious bottles sooner.
The bonus? It was easier to remove when you have glitter on just two fingers.
In this post, not only will I share some more photos of this design, but I’ll also give quick mini reviews on both polishes in case you’re curious if they’re must-haves or not.

China Glaze Water You Waiting For Mini Review
This super glittery polish is blue, teal, and purple. It reminded me very much of Nicole by OPI Kendall on the Katwalk. So, if you weren’t able to find that, this is a great alternative.
You only need 2 coats for full coverage, but even a single coat covers very well, too!
Due to the glitter overload, this was an extremely thick and chunky polish. On the positive side, it dried very quickly.
It dries to a very gritty finish, so a single layer of top coat isn’t enough. It ‘eats’ top coat like it’s been starving for weeks!
China Glaze Hanging in the Balance Mini Review
Hanging in the Balance was much easier to apply, and it went on smoothly. This creme blue is a cheerful kind of blue that reminds me of the spring.
You’ll only need to use 2 coats to achieve full opacity. And, since it’s a creme, it’s very easy to remove.
Do you wear manicures where each nail has a different design? Have you picked up any of the China Glaze Cirque du Soleil polishes? Have you ever been to a Cirque du Soleil show?
omg Now I’m rethinking not placing that order… Hanging in the Balance looks lovely!!

Hey Lizzy!
In tomorrow’s post, I’m going to show a few more polishes from the collection. 😉
Thanks for the nice review on these 2. I know I can pass on the blue glitter…that NOPI did not attract me at all. I do have my eye on 1 or 2 of the others from this ChG collection and thinking I need to order them from an e-tailer or if I wait for my Sally’s to get them, the shades I want will be gone – it’s odd when Sally’s only gets maybe 4-5 of one shade – that’s not enough to go around.
Hey beachgal!
I know what you mean. It seems like whenever Sally’s gets them in, they just fly off the shelves. I wonder why they don’t just stock more since they obviously sell very well. And another beef I have with Sally’s is that a lot of times, the one near me doesn’t even get the full collections! :S Weird. Sometimes they get just 3 shades…and it’s not that they sold out of the others because I asked. They only received 3 (not of this collection, but it was for a Christmas collection a few years ago.)
I adore blue manis and this one looks beautiful

Hey Theresa!
Thank you! 🙂 I had fun painting this simple look.
Mary, honestly, I LOVE skittle manicures (or skittlettes) and your nails seem to be made for them also! I loooove what you came up with! Keep them coming because I for one am a HUUUUUGE fan! 😉
I’m pondering this collection… so tempted for some of the glitters 😉
Seeing a Cirque du Soleil show is on my bucket list

Hey Marta!
My nails like to ‘taste’ the rainbow, it seems. 😉
Thank you so much! I have another fun design coming in tomorrow’s post. Some of them are the ones with large glitter/sequins.
A few years ago, one of my friends asked me to join her to see Cirque du Soleil, but the tickets are sooooooooooooooo expensive, and I don’t have that kind of disposable cash. She still went and sat near the front. She said it was amazing…haha, and it should be at that price! 😛 PHEW!
this came out so fun, i love this mani

Hey Amanda!
Thanks! 🙂 It was fun to paint AND wear!
I just read this post today after picking up both these blues on clearance at Sally’s. It’s a really cute look, and I love what you did with the contrasting black! I usually don’t’ do skittles, but these nails and some of Marta’s amazing manis over at Chit Chat nails make me think I need to do them more often!

Hey Another Cristina!
YAY for getting them on clearance! It’s always awesome to find cool polish on sale. Patience pays off!
I really encourage you to try skittle nails. It’s great for when you realllly can’t decide on one colour and want to just wear them all! 🙂
