You may remember that not long ago, in this Haul of Shame post, I mentioned that I had purchased the Urban Decay Ocho Loco 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil Set.
It’s a limited-edition, online-exclusive holiday set. One of the new shades in it is Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil LSD.
Glitter addicts get their fix with LSD. 😉
(When people ask what’s on your eyes, you can smile as you say LSD.)
I’ve been wearing this eye liner a lot because the colour is absolutely gorgeous. However, there are some drawbacks to this colour, which I’ll explain in this post.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil LSD Review
Colour
Urban Decay LSD is a gorgeous turquoise that’s very vibrant. However, it’s not so bright that it makes you look clownish. Instead of just being vibrant all the time, at certain angles, it looks like a blackened navy. (You’ll see it in my natural-light photos.)
The glitter brightens up parts of the liner, which is pretty and adds some personality.
LSD is great for the holidays. (Haha, quoting me on that last sentence out of context will give people the wrong impression!)
Urban Decay LSD has that festive glitter without being over-the-top and drag-queen-like.
Finish
The glitter in this pencil isn’t fine. There are somewhat large pieces, so they really reflect the light and are very noticeable. i.e. It doesn’t look like shimmer. It looks like glitter.
Even without wearing primer underneath, I was impressed that I didn’t get any glitter fallout! (Some glitter liners will leave sparkles all over your cheeks at the end of the day. But this one stayed put!)
Since this eye pencil has glitter, you shouldn’t use it on your waterline because it could get into your eyes, which isn’t healthy.
Application & Formula
Here’s where the review turns slightly sour.
Despite the colour being brilliant and fun to wear, I really am disappointed in the formula because it applies very patchy. You can see the bald spots in my photos.
Even if you go over the same area multiple times to try to fill in the patches, you’ll still get patches! (Trust me – when I was lining my eyes, I went over the same line 5 times just to see if I could build up the coverage. Nope!)
What I did like about the formula was that it stays put just like any other Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil. I’m pleased with how I can put it on and not have to fuss with it a lot throughout the day.
It’s water-resistant, which gives it the extra staying power. In fact, after I swatched it on my hand for the photos you see above, I went to take my shower. I purposely left it on my hand and went about my normal routine of washing my hair and showering.
It lasted through shampooing and conditioning my hair, which is a testament to its staying power! It was only until I scrubbed it with my soapy mesh sponge that it came off.
Also important to note is that because it comes in a pencil form, you must sharpen it to get more product. Sharpening means that you waste some product – it gets ‘sharpened away’. It would be nice if they made retractable pencils.
Removal
You need eye makeup remover for this. Don’t try to take it off with just water because you’ll be scrubbing your delicate eye area, which is bad for your skin.
Expect to see some glitter bits left behind. I found that I had to spend extra time cleansing to remove the glitter completely compared to a regular liner.
Availability
This shade is exclusive to the Urban Decay Ocho Loco Set. Perhaps one day it’ll be available individually if it becomes popular enough.

Final Verdict: 7/10
If LSD didn’t go on so patchy, I would’ve given it a 9.5. Yes, it’s an extremely gorgeous and fun shade to wear, but the poor application seems to ‘water down’ a colour that I think could’ve packed so much more punch otherwise!
Do you think you’ll get the Ocho Loco Set for LSD? Do you put up with patchy liners, or is it a deal-breaker for you? Which Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil is your favourite? (Mine’s Rockstar so far!)
Woah… That’s really pretty! Shame about the application. I hate feeling like I’m having to almost scrape eyeliner on. Also because it usually screws up my line. :p Wicked cool color, though!

Hey Lizzy!
Hopefully they’ll release LSD individually, but also improve the formula when they do! Despite the patchiness of it, I’m still getting great use out of it. 🙂 Can’t let it go to waste.
