When I heard of OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest, I immediately thought of Oktoberfest sausages. (After eating meat again after having been a vegetarian for a few years, those were definitely on my to-eat list.)
This will be the 5th colour from the upcoming OPI Germany Collection that I’ve reviewed. (Stay tuned – I have one more colour to share with you.) 🙂
So far, I am really impressed with the OPI Germany Collection because even if the shades aren’t unique, I still think they have wonderful finishes. And the glowy polishes are a treat to wear.

OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest Review
Colour
Every Month Is Oktoberfest by OPI is a reddish plum that’s deep, dark, and mysterious. It’s gorgeous, it knows it, and it lures you in closer with that come-hither charm. 😉
Maybe I’m looking forward to fall way too much, but I dig this colour. It’s going to be even more fun to wear in the fall and winter.
Finish
It has a shimmery finish with a special lit-from-within look. You’ll see the sides of your nails look darker, and then the middles light up and appear glowy. Yet another sexy polish from the OPI Germany Collection! 😀
Application & Formula
The formula of this one is extremely runny, so don’t load up your brush as much as you normally would, or you could flood your cuticles by accident. (I ended up getting some polish on my skin because I wasn’t expecting it, and I tend to use medium coats.)
The wateriness makes it tricky to control because it drips if you’re not careful. You’re best off applying thin coats.
Despite this setback, the pigmentation is divine. With even a single coat, you get nice coverage. But if you use 2 coats like I did, that’s all you’ll need for full opacity.

Every Month Is Oktoberfest by OPI is a gorgeous colour. Just wish that I was able to capture it in the sunlight, but I think you get a good idea of its personality in the flash photos.
I can picture this polish being even more fun to wear when fall rolls around. It’ll go with the autumnal palette more than the bright, summery clothes I’ve been wearing.
(P.S. I’m looking for some slim-fitting neon t-shirts. Do you have any suggestions other than Forever 21 where I can find some that are reasonably priced? I’ve already bought a bunch of neon tank tops, and I’m loving them! :D)

I just got this polish this week & I am amazed at how gorgeous it is, photos can’t capture how beautiful it looks in real life!
Definitely – I had a hard time capturing it’s glory. It’s one of those polishes you need to enjoy in person!
Woohoo, you’ve reviewed almost all the polishes from the Germany collection that I’ve looked forward to seeing! This one and German-icure by OPI are both terrific autumn colors :). Would you say they are different enough to justify owning both? I know there obviously wouldn’t be dupes in the same collection, but they do look similar to me.

Although both are gorgeous, I’d have to say that they’re similar enough to each other (but, of course, not dupes) so I don’t think you actually need to own both. German-icure by OPI seems to have a hint of eggplant in it, but Every Month Is Oktoberfest has more burgundy. If you want to choose just one, I’d say go for German-icure by OPI. It has this glossy, inky feel to it that Every Month Is Oktoberfest doesn’t quite have.
This is the one from the collection I am definitely buying! It’s so pretty!

You’ll love it! 🙂 The OPI Germany Collection impressed me so much in person. The press release was okay, but it didn’t really convey just how glowy a lot of these shades are.
I like this color, but I don’t think I’ll get it. Some places that might have neon t shirts are wet seal, delias, hot topic, aeropostale. I love neon shirts, they are so summer-y and I love it!

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll see if I can find anything good there. I don’t think we have Delias or Hot Topic in Canada…and I guess I haven’t paid attention to Wet Seal because I have no idea if we have it! But if I see something, hopefully they can ship to Canada! 😀 I want neon t-shirts!!!!!!!

Haha, oh, you could! I felt the same way as you before I became a vegetarian for a few years. But I ended up doing it gradually, cutting out certain meat and seafood at a time. Eventually I went back to eating it, though. It was a personal challenge, and I felt good to “do my part”. But, geez, eating out at restaurants was always very difficult. Even in salads, they like to toss in bacon…haha!
This is such a beautiful colour!!! It reminds me of one polish from India collection, perhaps Royal Raj Ruby. I wonder if they are similar enough.

Yes, OPI Royal Rajah Ruby does look like this one. I can’t remember if they’re very close. Need to find the bottle! In any case, Royal Rajah Ruby is GORGEOUS and has that same glowy-ness…but I think it’s discontinued, so maybe those who were trying to get that will want to check this one out instead.
I love shades like this one… Especially in the fall/winter. Mary, do you have OPI Royal Rajah ruby shade (and could tell me how they compare)? 😉 thanks

Yes, I do have OPI Royal Rajah Ruby somewhere around here. Both have that ‘glowiness’ about them. It’s been a little while since I’ve worn it, though, but I remember it also being burgundy like this and dark. I’ll try to find it and then swatch it side by side on a nail wheel and show you.
I know this is a late comment on this post, but I thought OPI did away with black labels when they went 3 free? Or is it because it’s a promotional bottle?

The label on the bottom of this particular bottle is different because it was provided by PR. The ones in the stores will look different. I mainly just photographed it to show the serial number and name in case it helps someone. 🙂
Hi there Mary! Good post! Gorgeous color definitely added on my wishlist!!! I love how you always put the fully details KeyNotes.It might seem pretty obvious infos for some but for others like me,it is well appreciated.Iv’e been able many times to identify the collection of polishes and other specs.It’s good stuff.I only have one thing to say.And i truly hope that you will take as a friend’s advice more than as a critique.I am a nail tech right,so, i have to admit that sometimes the overall application of the polish bothers me.I can only say that i think you would have some better precision on the cuticule area (a more ”perfect”, smooth and rounder line) if you would try to go less further on the nail bed and maybe to apply the polish being less close to your hands…i mean that sometimes being more distanced from your hand while applying gives you a better overall look at what you’re doing,therefore,makes all of your lines more even and consequently more straight.At least that’s what i experienced with practice at work (i’m much better than in my debute…) I’d love to see some spotless manis (NOT THAT I HAVEN’T) because all your swatches are gorgeous and that would make them even better.Your range of colors is in my top colors so i keep on coming back!

You know what? Branding Iron and Royal Rajah Ruby are realllllly close. You really don’t need to track it down since you have Branding Iron. And Every Month Is Oktoberfest is fairly close. (I really need to do comparison swatches. Gotta bust out my other bottles.)
Vampire Blood Red is what I think of when I see this colour. Vampy colour for sure and I love it !
