OPI Deutsche You Want Me Baby is the red-orange from the upcoming Germany Collection!
Orange is a colour that years ago, I thought looked horrid on me. As a result, I didn’t dive into the nail-polish possibilities much.
Well, up went the curtains! Since maybe last year or so, I finally opened up to orange, and I like it a lot more than I thought.
Off the top, sides, and bottom of my head, I can’t think of another red-orange polish in my stash of 500+ bottles that’s quite like this.
Deutsche You Want Me Baby is yet another glowy polish from the OPI Germany Collection, and it’s very, very sexy. *Rawr* 😉
It looks even better in person than it does in my photos. In fact, a guy told me (out of the blue) that I should become a hand model when I was wearing this polish! Haha, I thought he was kidding, but he was being serious! (I could feel my cheeks were getting hot because that was definitely a first. My fingers are long and very skinny, so I’ve never thought they look nice. It made me feel so good hearing that…haha, but despite his compliments several times during the night about this, I can’t picture myself pursuing a career as a hand model. It makes me laugh! :P)

OPI Deutsche You Want Me Baby Review
Colour
Okay, I’ll admit that seeing this reddish orange in the bottle would normally make me walk right by it. However, this is a colour that I think looks incredible on your nails!
It’s not a classic red, but it’s not Jack-O-Lantern orange, either. It bridges the gap between the two hues, which maybe is why I’ve warmed up to it.
If you tend to shy away from Hallowe’en oranges and prefer autumnal shades, I recommend you give this one a shot.
Finish
Excuse me, but how gorgeous is the finish on this one? Sure, the super-shimmery finish makes the brushstrokes visible, but it’s not as terrible as some metallic finishes. Plus, you always have to take into account that my photos blow up every detail of the polish. (My nails aren’t actually as big as your screen. :P)
Trust me – this polish absolutely looks glowy and like it has a fire burning inside it! It’s sooooo sexy, and it’s not a harsh colour to wear. Actually, I think this is one of the easiest oranges I’ve ever worn.
There’s something really special about this polish because after you’ve applied it, it makes your nails look like they’re fake nails (in a good way). Seriously…my photos don’t do this polish any justice!
Application & Formula
I really liked the formula. Yes, it’s on the watery side, but the pigmentation is terrific! And despite the thin, watery formula, you can get it to go exactly where you want it to. It’s not goopy, and it does self-level a bit. I felt like the excellent formula actually made it easier for me to paint my nails and get better results!
So…to answer the polish’s question, “YES! I WANT YOU, BABY!” 😉

Final Verdict: 9/10
This may very well be the highest score I’ve ever given an orange (or red-orange)! I was surprised how much I loved it. Hehe, it’s always great to find a new colour to explore…but then it can be really dangerous, too. 😉
Do you prefer to wear reds, oranges, or red-oranges? Will you be tracking this one down when the OPI Germany Collection drops in August?
WOW! I love it! Orange is my favorite color, and I love it in polishes. This looks gorgeous. The second I see this collection, I’m going to get this. So pretty!

Hey Brianna!
Oh, if you love oranges, you’ll LOVE this one sooooo much! Haha, I’m not the biggest orange fan, but I fell so hard for Deutsche You Want Me Baby. You won’t be disappointed with it – really fun colour to wear. I still can’t get over how it makes my nails look like really good fake nails (in person). There’s something really magical about this polish!
What? You’re not a hand model? LOL Was he hot?
It’s a very good color on you, but I would call it more of a rust. This collection is growing on me, but some still look like dupes. This one reminds me of “Smokin’ in Havana” and “Magnifico Mexico”.
Hey The KnitMaster!
Haha, yeah, he was good-looking (and he didn’t have a hand fetish, which I initially thought…). Nope, not a hand model…haha, but I used to make jokes all the time about being a model. Then when people are interested (they always are when you say that you’re a model), they ask questions. I told them, “I’m the model for the Before Photos in the Before and After makeovers.” Hahaha…
Rust…I can see why you’d call it that, but I think it’s a bit brighter than rust. Regardless, it’s still a great colour. 😀
Oh, I don’t have either of those two polishes you mentioned, so this colour is “new” to me. I do like that name “Magnifico Mexico”, though. Cute!
I was the same as you, never wore orange but now I’m warming up to them. However, reddish orange or orangey reds I absolutely hate in every form….polish, clothes, car colors etc. BUT I am reaaaallly loving this color despite that. I think because it looks like a great autumn color. Want it…
Hey Frosso!
Seeee? There IS something really different about this polish, isn’t there? Us typically non-orange fans are falling hard for it…Hmm…maybe it’s because of the heat and we’re craving the cooler autumnal weather and anything that reminds us of it. 😉
This one has one of my favorite names from the collection! It’s probably only second to “Nein, Nein, Nein! OK, Fine!” LoL
The color really isn’t for me, since I don’t wear reds and oranges make my skin look orangey. 😛
Hey Angie!
It’s pretty cute, isn’t it? I can picture the polish winking at me while saying it.
This is stunning on you!! It glows. I love reds, oranges, red/oranges, all!!

Hey MariJo!
You love them, and they certainly love you, too, from what I can tell in all your lovely photos!
I don’t generally gravitate towards oranges but the name on this shade (though cheesy) makes me want to get it. I lived in Germany for 5 years and always feel a bond to all-things German. This collection might take the best of me.
I second the gentleman’s opinion to you being a handmodel! 😉 I love the shape of your nails 😉

Hey Marta!
This orange will look fabulous on you. But that’s not hard, seeing how you can pull off virtually every colour under the sun and behind the clouds!
About hand modelling…Heyyyy…did you pay him to say that? 😉 Hahaha!
Wohoo about the compliment!!! Dude is probably right and you should think about that!!! And while you’re at it ask him if he’s looking for little sausages advertisees too!! (that’s my fingers of course haha) 🙂
I love oranges lately, ESPECIALLY with red undertones! And this one looks very appetizing.. 🙂

Hey Gosia!
Haha, I thought about it after he said it, but nahhhhhhh! Hand modelling isn’t for me. Hahaha, little sausages! Those sound super cute! 😀
Mary I LOVE this colour and I really must have it haha, maybe I’ll be lucky enough to score it from the giveaway! I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a great red-orange colour, and I definitely don’t think I own anything close to it!
Hey Sydnee!
Hehe, ‘Deutsche’ you want it? Yes, you do. 😉 It was meant to be!
P.S. Thanks for entering my OPI Germany Collection giveaway. Best of luck in the draw!
How did you go about getting these PR bottles? Did you have to sign up for it or what exactly? This collection is absolutely stunning! And I appreciate how thorough you are in your posts!
Hey Ellie!
I’m actually thinking about covering the topic of PR in a future “From Mary’s Desk” post. You may be interested in it.
Last year, OPI’s PR team actually found my blog and e-mailed me to ask if I wanted to be put on their list for press releases and free samples. I guess I was lucky. However, for some other companies, I’ve actually taken the initiative to reach out to them. That’s what I’d like to discuss in that blog post I mentioned. 🙂 I think readers would find it helpful.
I’m glad to hear that you’ve been enjoying my posts and have found them useful! 😀
