The Bath & Body Works Raspberry Pink Peony Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap doesn’t have the kind of scent that I typically am drawn to.
But, last month or so ago when I was shopping with my friend, I pretty much smelled everything to give it a fair chance.
Although raspberry and florals are notes that I usually don’t like in scented products, I was surprised when this one appealed to me.
Haha, also, note how the liquid and part of the picture is pink. What the heck is up with me lately? I’m so not a pink person…not just when it comes to nail polish, but in general, too! Yet lately I’ve been showing off a lot of pink things.
(Little factoid: I think the reason why I’m not a pink person today is because when I was in elementary school, I was an obsessed-pink lover. Up until grade 3, pretty much all of my outfits were predominantly pink, and when given a colour choice, I’d opt for pink. Must’ve got it out of my system. Although my love of neon-pink polish is cropping up…)

Bath & Body Works Raspberry Pink Peony Review
Fragrance
Usually I don’t like raspberry scents because they’re often very tart and leave me with a huge headache. This isn’t the case with the Bath & Body Works Raspberry Pink Peony fragrance. The raspberry smells fresh, but it’s softened by a little vanilla. You can’t detect the vanilla much, but it’s there.
The peony note acts more like an accent. From what I could tell, the dominant scent is raspberry and then the trailing scent is floral.
I’d say that this scent is mild and definitely not in-your-face. Also, the fragrance lingers on your hands even after you’ve used it, but it’s not strong enough to compete with your eau de parfum.
Overall, I would consider this fragrance to be slightly girly because of the delicate floral. Without the peony, it could be a unisex scent. That being said, you can use whatever hand soap you want and that makes you happy.
Cleaning Efficacy
This is certainly very efficient because even if my hands were greasy, this hand soap cut through it and left me feeling clean.
Packaging
I like the simple design of the packaging, and I like the big pump that dispenses just the right amount of product.
Animal-Friendliness
According to the label, this product wasn’t tested on animals, so if you’re looking for cruelty-free products, this one fits the bill.
Seasonal Availability
If you like this scent, you should stock up now while you still can. Only the people behind the Bath & Body Works’ closed doors know if this is something that will be brought back next year.
Value
It seems to take no time at all in order to finish a foaming hand soap. Since I wash my hands a lot, sometimes it feels like I burn through a bottle really fast.
If you want something that’ll last longer, I recommend opting for the Deep Cleansing Hand Soaps, but they can be drying.

Final Verdict: 7.5/10
The Raspberry Pink Peony Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap by Bath & Body Works is a pleasant and light scent that makes cleansing your hands more enjoyable, but I wouldn’t say that this is my favourite compared to the other available scents.
Did you buy anything from the current Semi-Annual Sale? Which do you like more: foaming, deep-cleansing, or moisturizing formulas?

Nice review, I also love BBW products, Liked the pro and cons section. I love berry smells mostly raspberry and blackberry, blueberry. And some brands can make them smell so awful that I can dislike them. I have a hand anti-bactirial of cranberry from the thanks giving collection and I have to say im very pleased.
Hey Icequeen81!
Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂
Haha, yeah, sometimes I find that raspberry and blackberry scents can come across medicinal if not done right. Very tough to get it right, but if they put in some vanilla (like here), it really helps to smooth it out.
