Smorgasbord Sundays: I Now Have a Niece

Baby Feet New NieceAs some of you already know, I’m an aunt for a second time! 🙂 My niece was just born on May 31st at 10 in the morning.

Of course I’m really excited because when she’s old enough, I’m going to spoil her with lots of nail polish. And I’m already getting giddy thinking about all the cute nail art I could do on little nails. 😉

Today I’ll be enjoying quality time with the newest member of the family!

Are you an aunt or uncle? Do you have children? What’s something that kids have taught you? (For me, it’s to appreciate the small things.)

      Hey Brianna!

Thanks! 🙂 When I became a first-time aunt just over a year ago, it was so exciting! It’s not every day that there’s a baby in our family, so it’s really cool to see how they grow up, what their personality is, and it’s fun to learn from them.

      Hey Maribeth!

Thanks for the well wishes! 🙂 Hehe, girls are especially fun to spoil, aren’t they? 😉 I think it’s because since we were little girls before, we know all the things we wanted, so we buy them for our nieces!

      Hey The KnitMaster!

Hehe, thanks! That’s really cute – “minicures”! I’ll have to ask her parents to see when I’ll be allowed to give her some cool nail art. But you can bet that I’ll already be planning well in advance. 😉

Congrats Mary. You will have a great time with her. I always painted my daughters nails. Now they enjoy painting their own nails. Enjoy the time you spend with her.

Congrats Auntie Mary I can’t believe not all your readers are congratulating you this is a big deal. But it’s alright you don’t need that you have a blessing in your arms that you will help guide on her life. She’s a lucky girl you’ll spoil her with your beauty tips and awesome gifts! Sorry I was a bit late on this I went to a friends wedding for 3 days. Best of luck for the baby on her future let it be a happy one.

      Hey Maria Saldana!

Thank you so much for the well wishes! 🙂 I can’t wait until she’s old enough to communicate more. And once she’s old enough for nail polish, I’m so there! 😉

      Hey Jessica!

Thanks! 🙂 Haha, I’ve been wearing a pink polish (not too common for me) as a little tribute. And when I first heard the news that my sister-in-law was pregnant, I wore a duochrome polish that was blue with a bit of pink. (That was to pay tribute to both my nephew and niece in a manicure.) 😀

Awwww congrats on your new future lil nail polish prodigy 🙂 I don’t have a niece or a nephew. I unfortunately have no hope for my one sister to make me an aunt since she has been set against having children all her life and it hasn’t changed. My boyfriend’s older sister just had a boy last year so I have a faux nephew lol but they live in Ohio and we’re in CT so I’ve only met him once. You are very lucky to be an auntie AGAIN 🙂 Enjoy!!

      Hey Frosso!

Hehe, oh, I vow to teach her everything I know about polish. And hopefully she’ll eventually start teaching me and telling me that I’m ‘old-fashioned’…hahah!

Faux nephew! I like that! 🙂 Take what you can get.

      Thank you for the congratulations!

      Hey Stephanie!

      Thank you so much! 🙂

I’m the baby in my family. 😉 Hmm…maybe you’ll be the first to bring a new member into the family. But…there’s no rush! 😉

Yay for being a new aunt! You’ll love it, I guarantee it. Every time I walk in a mall and see something cute and frilly in kiddie clothing stores, I find myself gravitating towards them and end up with a shirt or a couple of dresses. Heck, I even have loyalty cards for places like Gymboree and I don’t have a kid of my own! But it’s soo worth it when you see her wearing it and having a blast. They grow up so fast though, so try to milk every moment that you’re with her! 😀

Thanks! 🙂 Hehe, it’s cool to see my little nephew interact with my newborn niece.

Soooooooooo excited that she’s a girl! 😀 Weeeeeee!

Haha, that’s funny how you have a Gymboree card! 😉 Maybe a kid of your own will be on the way soon-ish. Hehehhe!
