China Glaze Crackle Glitters Collection Press Release & Promo Pictures

China Glaze Crackle Glitters Collection Press Release & Promo PicturesJust when I thought that the crackle-polish trend died out, here comes something new: the China Glaze Crackle Glitters Collection!

I’m curious about the glitter-crackle formula. Will it be thick like a lot of traditional glitter polishes, or will it be thin and easy to work with?

The middle 2 colours, Gleam Me Up (blue) and Glam-More (vivid purple), look really gorgeous.

And the display picture is pretty cool. Look at those luscious purple lips! I just love, love, love dramatic lips like that, but the only time I can pull it off is during Hallowe’en when I dress up as a goth.

What do you think of this collection? Are you still on the crackle bandwagon, or are you ushering it to roll on by?

SPARK YOUR SUMMER STYLE!

China Glaze® Introduces Four New Crackle Glitter Polishes for May 2012

Los Angeles, CA – (March 2012): Sparkle all summer long with China Glaze®’s new Crackle Glitters collection. Once again taking crackle technology to the next level, this third-generation polish pairs the edgy innovation of crackling nail lacquer with glamorous glitters. The China Glaze® Crackle Glitters features four shimmering shades including:

  • Luminous Lavender: Luscious light purple
  • Jade-d: Radiant bright green
  • Glam-More: Bold fuchsia
  • Gleam Me Up: Bright sky blue

Create glamorously different looks with just one sweep of China Glaze® Crackle Glitters. Layer over different base colors to create bold styles. Use a lighter coat to create a fine crackle, a thicker coat for a deep shatter effect. Brush sideways or on an angle to create different looks. As versatile and edgy as China Glaze®’s biggest celebrity fans (Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Nicole Ritchie and Kelly Osbourne, to name a few), China Glaze® Crackle Glitters add a spark(le) to one of the hottest nail art trends!

The China Glaze® Crackle Glitters collection will be available as open stock colors and four-piece counter display. Individual polishes retail for $9 MSRP and will be available at fine salons and beauty supply stores nationwide in May 2012.

      Hey Kelly!

Oh boy…you know…when crackle polishes first came out, I felt like I had to collect them all. But then they just came out with too many, and I couldn’t keep up, so I stopped collecting them.

      Hey Frosso!

Fair enough. 🙂 More money saved so you can put it toward a collection that’s more to your liking. 🙂

Hmmm, these are interesting…I am getting rather tired of the shatter trend though. I wear Black Shatter on occasion but that’s it. I think glitter shatter is too much going on at once.

      Hey Jessica!

We’ve…overdosed on ‘crack’. 😛 (Hmm, I can’t even remember the last time I wore any of my crackle polishes.)

I only have about 4 crackle polishes and that’s about 3 too many. haha! I liked the crackle stuff for like a day and then I got tired of it. All of a sudden it was everywhere and I just got crackle overload. You are so right…I’m going to save my money for the Safari collection. lol

      Hey lacquerloon!

I was a fan of the black crackle polish because it was just really easy to layer over nearly anything. And while I collected a lot of the crackle polishes with other finishes, I feel like I had the best results with the plain black one. (Guess I’m not a crackle expert! :P)

Oohh, the Safari collection looks like it’s up my alley. Can’t wait to hear more about it and then see the polishes in person!

      Hey another Cristina!

Definitely it sounds like the crackle trend is dying out, but, like everything in beauty and fashion, things do a full circle. 🙂

I would actually love one of these! I’m still a messy polisher and I love glitter because it doesn’t show mistakes. Crackle is *supposed* to be a mistake! I guess I’m in the minority though. 🙂

      Hey Jen in Oregon!

Good point! And for people who are trying to conceal nail ridges, glitter polishes do wonders with that.

I think that if these Crackle Glitters came out when the crackle trend was still really hot, more people would’ve snatched them up. It’s too bad that they missed the peak time. Still, you’re probably not the only one who likes these. 🙂 And, hey, at least you’ll have an easier time locating these than if EVERYONE was trying to get hold of them. 😉 That’s the silver lining, right?
