Whether you love them or hate them, there’s one thing for certain: the Kardashians continue to expand their empire.
Now they’ve come out with a new nail-polish collection to follow up their Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors Collection. This time, it’s devoted to Kim Kardashian – Nicole by OPI Wel-Kim to My World Collection!
These shades are soft and sweet – perfect for spring brides.
From the promo pictures, Here Kim’s the Sun seems to have some opalescent glitter, which could be very pretty for layering.
The other colour that interests me is Nothing Kim-pares to Blue. It’s described as a lilac blue, but I wonder if it’ll lean more periwinkle (which would be awesome).
I whipped up the little image so you could see all the colours at once. But keep reading this post to see larger photos of each colour as well as the official press release sent to me by PR.
Official press release sent to me by PR:
Wel-Kim to My World!
Nicole by OPI Introduces NEW Kardashian Kolor Nail Lacquers, Inspired by Kim Kardashian
Nicole by OPI announces the launch of Wel-Kim to My World, a collection of new nail lacquers inspired by Kim Kardashian. The line features six pastel-hued shades in white, pink, blue and honey tones that give nails a subtle pop of colour. Lacquers Lights, Kim-era, Action! and Here Kim’s the Sun feature glitter and opalescent shimmer to create an added element of glitz.
“These six new lacquers really showcase Kim’s flirty, feminine side,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “Kim often wears pink, white and other softer-toned shades; these colours are great for creating a classic, elegant look that works day or night.”
The Wel-Kim to My World shades include:
Here Kim’s the Sun
Brighten up your day with this opalescent sparkle.
Kim Konfidential
A honey-nude so stunning, it should be “klassified.”
Up & Kim-ing Pink
Get in line! This cotton candy pink is THE pink of the season.
Nothing Kim-pares to Blue
There just isn’t another hue like this lovely lilac-blue.
Lights, Kim-era, Action!
A screen-stealing shimmering pearl.
Others Pale By Kim-parison
This breathtaking white is the fairest of them all.
“Spring is the perfect time to add lighter tones to your look,” adds Weiss-Fischmann. “Candy-coated colours in pastel shades are always popular during this season. These ladylike hues look great with the blousy tops and frothy dresses that walked the runways for spring.”
Nicole by OPI Nail Lacquers and Nail Treatments contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde. Nicole by OPI formulas are long-lasting, fast-drying, and salon-quality. Wel-Kim to My World will be available April 2012 for $10.99 each at Jean Coutu, Loblaw and Shoppers Drug Mart stores nationwide.

Do these soft shades speak to you? Or do they bore you? What colour do you find yourself wearing more during the spring?
I can’t wait to see the swatches! I hope they’re opaque with 2 coats. I love how the colors are so feminine and delicate. I hope I won’t be disappointed with the coverage!

Hey Jennifer!
I’m hoping they’re good, too, but most light shades I’ve tried tend to be sheer and take sooo many coats. We’ll see what other beauty bloggers have to say about it! 🙂
I’m not a pastels kind of gal… so these are snoozers for me… beyond that, I have refused to by any Kardashian NOPI’s because I refused to give them even a penny of my money… and I want them to disappear off the radar; supporting the polish line would be counterproductive to that goal!! Lol

AGREED!!
(although i did get sucked into buying the blue glitter from the last collection)
Yeah, Kendall on the Katwalk was a must-have colour. It’s not everyday that you see a glitter polish with blue, green, and purple. 🙂
PS – you are, by far, my most favorite Canadian beauty blogger!!
*Blush* WOW, high praise! There are so many amazing Canadian beauty bloggers out there, so my head is getting big right now. (I’ll try to contain it so it doesn’t explode…hehe!) THANK YOU SO MUCH for making my day! 😀
Hey Kelly!
You’ve saved your money for another polish collection! 🙂 I respect you for your decision to not promote something you don’t believe in. Stick to your guns! 🙂
Omg!! How many polishes do they need? I mean, I’m probably going to get a couple, but jeeezzzeee. LOL

Hey MariJo!
Haha, a lot, apparently. Although, if I were in their shoes, I would probably try to push the company to make 37535983759837583785973985 colours in 45793760953769037637604386084908694860 collections. Don’t worry, only 258711003957 would be greens. 😉 Hehe!
Laughing – very loudly – Out Loud :>0
LOLOL!!

‘Subtle pop of color’? On these nails? Not likely.
They aren’t ugly, but they just aren’t me.
Hey karen!
Hahahaha, ooohhhhh, burrrrnnnnn! 😉 What’s that? I think I hear the polish crying quietly in the corner. It had big dreams of your nails in particular, but now it must find the will to move on. Poor polish… Haha!
These don’t appeal to me at all…except for the blue one…maybe.

Hey lacquerloon!
Maybe they’ll look better in person. Who knows? 🙂 But, until they tempt you, you’ve saved money, so that’s always a great thing!
