Coppola Keratin Complex Infusion Therapy Review & Pictures

Coppola Keratin Complex Infusin Therapy

Dry weather. Dry jokes. Those get the thumbs up from me. But when it comes to my hair, being dry doesn’t fly. (Dr. Seuss, eat your heart out on that rhyme!)

I’m always on the lookout for moisturizing haircare that doesn’t leave my hair greasy. And because I don’t like to use too many hair products after I just shampooed my hair, I really wanted something that wouldn’t leave a sticky residue or make my hair feel dirty.

When my hair stylist recommended the Coppola Keratin Complex Infusion Therapy, I decided to give it a go. Having shelled out $50 for this, I was expecting the moon…and it didn’t disappoint.

The Coppola Keratin Complex Infusion Therapy Review

Hair is made up of protein, and keratin is a “family of fibrous structural proteins” according to Wikipedia. Since the Coppola Keratin Complex Infusion Therapy contains keratin, I was curious to see if it would transform my dry hair into a silky mane.

Unlike your regular garden variety that merely coats the surface of each strand, this keratin replenisher supposedly nourishes your hair to restore it to prime health.

First of all, I like the packaging – it’s clear so you can see how much product you have left. I also give bonus points for having the color of a strawberry-banana smoothie.

As for the smell, it reminds me of fruit mixed with coconuts. I know people who love coconuts, but I don’t appreciate the scent.

Once I get out of the shower, I towel-dry my hair and then rub about 2-pea’s worth (2 pumps) onto the palm of my hand. Afterwards, I rub my hands together and simply rake them through my hair for more even distribution. (You could also use a wide-tooth comb.) After blow-drying and flat-ironing, you’re left with straighter and silkier hair compared to if you didn’t use it.

I like how this doesn’t leave behind any residue – it’s not sticky, it doesn’t weigh my hair down, and it’s not greasy. Plus when I run my hands through my hair, it feels smoother and looks a lot shinier. And maybe it’s just me, but after using this, my hair is a lot more manageable with less frizzies. But it better do everything it claims because at $50 a pop, it’s not scraping the bargain bin!

Pros

  • Clear packaging so you can see how much you have left
  • Pump dispenses small amount so there’s no waste
  • Leaves hair soft, silky & straight
  • Contains keratin that nourishes hair
Cons

  • Very expensive
  • Can only be bought in select salons & some beauty-supply stores

Final Verdict: 8/10

Overall, I’d say that if you want to splurge on a salon-quality haircare product, this is definitely the one to plunk down your money sack for. It does what it says it’ll do. But if you are sensitive to fragrances and can’t stand the smell of coconuts, you’ll hate it.

Have you tried keratin products before from Coppola or another brand? How did it work for you?

    Mary,
I actually just got back from the salon yesterday. My friend manages the salon and suggested the Keratin Complex product for my hair. I used to be a bleached blonde, but after years of punishment my hair needed serious help. I am back to my natural brunette, but have issues with my ends. They are SO dry! After one application I had about the same results as you. No frizz, smooth, healthy looking hair. I think its a great product and will continue to use it. The salon I went to actually retails it for $40; however, being that the manager is a close friend I got it for wholesale price.
Overall, great product that works!! Let’s just see how the long term results will be.

      Hey Nicole!

I’m so pleased to hear that you also got fantastic results from using this product. I was really surprised that it worked so well after a single use. A lot of products I used before never gave me as dramatic of a difference as this did.

      $40? What a deal! (I need to become chummy with a salon manager…heheh ;P)

      Hey nneka!

The actual product can last for 3 months or more depending on how much you use on a daily basis. As for the effect you get from the product, it only lasts until your next shampoo.
