Holy orange lip gloss, Batman! Milani 3D Glitzy Stylish Glamour Gloss (try saying that 3 times fast) is an orangey shade with a tinge of pink when you look at it in the tube. It’s not a shade that I’d normally gravitate toward since I’m only recently starting to venture outside of my color comfort zone.

I’m glad I did because this pop of orange is hmm hmm good. And I don’t mean the taste. At first, I was scared that this gloss would make me look like I drank that orange soda from McDonald’s straight from the cup. (It’s natural to not want orange lips, I think!) But Stylish is just sheer enough to complement my skin tone while really adding a tinge of orange.

BTW, did McDonald’s stop selling their orange pop?

Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss Stylish Review

Color

I’ve really only tried pinks and reds on my lips but have always wanted to be more daring. If you’re like me, Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss Stylish is a good place to start. Don’t let the orange scare you, because it’s very sheer. You do see a citrusy shade on your lips but it’s subtle.

But others will definitely notice the gold-colored glitter reflecting the light, along with the glossy shine! I love the glitter because it adds an extra layer of sparkling glamour and visual depth!

Application

Applying Milani Stylish 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss is a cinch. The brush isn’t so small that you feel like you’re drawing on the gloss with a fine needle. The bristles spread out easily for good distribution.

When I first opened mine though, the bristles were kind of stuck together. At first I thought the brush was just a plastic pointer or something. But I bent the bristles on my lips, and all was fine after that.

Consistency

Love. Stylish by Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss doesn’t feel slippery on the lips. But don’t worry about feeling like you’ve slicked honey on your lips. It’s not thick, goopy or gooey.

It’s not sticky, either, so if you smack your lips, you don’t have to pry them open because the gloss glued them together. If it gets windy, though, hair will stick to your lips! 😛

Smell & Taste

True to its orange nature, Milani Stylish gloss has a citrusy/fruity scent that doesn’t irritate the nose. It’s very subtle but definitely pleasant. And it doesn’t have any weird taste at all. I always feel the need to clarify: I don’t eat lip gloss! But it’s so close to the tongue that it’s good to know that it doesn’t taste like burnt plastic or anything. Right?

Lasting Power

Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Stylish Gloss doesn’t perform that well in this case. It stays on for about an hour if I don’t eat or drink anything. This isn’t good for me because I usually forget to reapply.

But then again, I’m always eating or drinking something anyway. (I’m an oink.) Even if it stays on longer, I’d wipe my mouth eventually anyway. (At least I’m a clean oink.)

Packaging

Not a huge fan of the gold cap on the tube. To me it looks a bit tacky. Not a big deal since I’m not wearing the cap like a dunce hat!

Pros

  • Subtle wash of orange with gold glitter
  • Not too slippery & not too thick
  • Smells pleasant & doesn’t have a taste
Cons

  • Tacky cap
  • Lasts only about an hour

Final Verdict: 8/10

In terms of price, this gloss is about average. But the reflection and glamour you’ll get is definitely above average. Plus, it’s the only orange gloss I own, so I’m definitely liking it.

How do you feel about orange-colored lip glosses? Have you tried any colors from the Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss line?

I love this orange trend on lips! It seems like a scary color, but I find it actually looks better on me than those pink or pinky brown neutrals I usually gravitate towards. I’d be interested to get a hold of this, but it looks like it’s pretty close to a Lansur lip gloss my mom in law gave me (scary orange with gold and orange glitter in the tube but subtle color/bright gloss without the tacky feeling; bonus points for the leds on the cap!). I’m also really liking the CG natureluxe gloss balm in coral for everyday wear. 🙂

Hi Carmela! I’m loving the trend, too… even though I’m late to the game, it seems. 😛

I’m looking to expand my gloss collection since I’m just starting out. Which is the best lip gloss you’d recommend?

If you mean best orange lip gloss, the Lansur one is my go to. It might be hard to find it here tho unless the Chinese malls have it as I think it’s a Chinese brand (my mom in law got it at HK). I recently picked up a Revlon Colorburst lip gloss in Sunset Peach and so far, I like it. This isn’t all that shiny or pigmented tho, so unless you want a subtle color, muted shine or to use this over a lippy, then it might not be for you. Best lip gloss would be a toss up between the Lancome Juicy Tubes and C.O. Bigelow Cinnamint Mentha Lip Shine. 🙂

If you’re just looking to add to your orange lip products, I really can’t recommend the CoverGirl Natureluxe Gloss Balm in Coral enough. It’s a lot like the Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer in Caramel but more orange (not scary bright tho). 🙂 It’s so good I’ve been reaching for it almost everyday!
