Purple is like my eyeshadow color mistress – I just can’t tear myself away no matter how much I love blue!
Everyday Minerals Art Girl Eyeshadow Rollerball is one of my most-recent purple purchases. Super excited when I pressed the Add to Bag button because the purple on the site looks more grape juice and vibrant. In person, it’s deeper. Still a gorgeous color nonetheless, just doesn’t get my heart pumping and racing as much.

Everyday Minerals Art Girl Review
Color
The actual color of Everyday Minerals Art Girl is more of a midnight purple with sparkling shimmer. It’s pretty, but a little too dark for me. I think lighter shades complement my eye color more since they open my peepers up.
Pigmentation
Everyday Minerals Art Girl Eye Shadow has incredible color payoff. One glide/layer of this gives you incredibly intense color. You don’t need to apply a second time over the same spot in order to get the final shade.
Staying Power & Blendability
Well, here’s where it’s not so good. Art Girl by Everyday Minerals needs to be worn over a primer. Otherwise, it fades, creases and disappears into thin air. But with a good primer, it’ll last you through the entire day.
A primer doesn’t intensify the shadow’s color though because it’s very pigmented on its own. But if you want to blend the color, a primer is a must. When you blend this shadow without a primer, the color fades into a barely-there dusty plum shade. Only a few light strokes will blend the shadow out. So primer it up!
Application
I got Everyday Minerals Art Girl in the travel sized, which is the rollerball. I’ve experimented with many rollerball products before, and they’d clog! I haven’t experienced that with this at all. It comes out smoothly and glides on evenly.
But I find that the ball is a little bit too big. It’s hard to apply shadow in the corners of the eyelids. Also, it distributes just a little bit too much for a thicker-than-what-I-need application on the lid. This causes a bit of fallout, but not a lot.

Final Verdict: 7.3/10
The color is pretty, but I’m not crazy in love with it. I would definitely not repurchase this color again if I run out (I doubt I will ever finish it).
