Ahhh, yes! I’m back to wearing a colour that’s totally in my comfort zone. My how I’ve missed you, Green! It’s ludicrous how I went so long without sporting my favourite colour.
Now all is right with the world. π *Content sigh*
SpaRitual Earth Matters is from the 2011 Earth Day Duo that I had to buy from the minute I laid eyes on it.
This glitter polish is a winner in my book, and if you stumble across it, I strongly recommend you purchase it. Earth Matters has made it in my Top 10 Green Nail Polish List…and considering that I have tons of greens, that’s saying something!

SpaRitual Earth Matters Review
Colour
Earth Matters by SpaRitual is so dazzling, I literally stared at the bottle for a full minute after I purchased it. And then when it was on my nails, haha, I kept looking down throughout the day and smiling sheepishly to myself.
The base is a rich evergreen that’s light enough so it doesn’t look black, even in dim artificial cubicle lighting. But it’s the glitter that brings the fire!
The glitter is green and yellow-gold. They blend well together, but when you inspect your nails closer, you’ll see the distinctly different hues pop out. Very well-coordinated!
Finish
Since Earth Matters by SpaRitual is a glitter polish, there is noticeable texture. To get a completely smooth glass-like finish, you’ll need to apply more than one layer of top coat. I, however, just used one coat, and it was smooth enough for me. (It wasn’t really scratchy or sharp.)
Also, keep in mind that this polish tends to eat top coat. That means even if the polish looks really smooth after you’ve just applied the top coat, in about an hour, it’ll have soaked it up like SpongeBob SquarePants in a glass of water.
Application & Formula
The formula on this was excellent. Sometimes dense glitter polishes can be really thick and hard to apply, but not Earth Matters! The formula was perfect, it was easy to apply, and even with a single coat, you get great coverage. You do, however, need to use 2 coats if you want to completely cover your nails.
Also, all SpaRitual lacquers are free of DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde & Formaldehyde Resin, in case that’s a concern for you.
Rubberized Handle & Packaging
SpaRitual nail polishes feature a rubberized handle with ribbing, which makes it easier to control the brush and paint your nails.
And the bottle shape is round and so classy. I love SpaRitual polishes because they always look sophisticated and clean.

Final Verdict: 10/10
Earth Matters by SpaRitual is a green-lover’s nail dream come true. The colour is interesting and the formula is easy to work with. This has become one of my all-time favourite green nail polishes to wear, so I highly recommend you track this one down! π
Where do you buy your SpaRitual nail polish from? Which is your most coveted SpaRitual polish?
This is absolutely beautiful!!! I love the glitter and the shade is gorgeous on you! You got a great deal on it too. Nice!

Hey MariJo!
Thank you so much! Haha, it’s very rare when a green doesn’t make me swoon. (To date, I think only certain mint greens look horrendous on me. Other than that, I love having ‘martian’ manicures.) π
Best green EVER!! Love it!!
Hey Melissa!
Glad you love it, too! π It’s a really special one.
This is such a gorgeous green!

Hey Chris!
It’s definitely a polish that I’ll be wearing again. So pretty! SpaRitual really knew what they were doing with this one.
What a great welcome back to greens! Haha I’m sure they’ve all been missing you as well. Earth Matters is such a fitting name for a green polish. When I saw the bottle in your haul post I thought it was just shimmery. Glad to see it’s a full-on glitter! So cool!
Hey Jessica!
Haha, yes! I had to roll out the red…err…green carpet to welcome back my green polish. How I missed it! Something just feels so wrong when I don’t wear at least one green in a week.
Wonderful swatches! I just love it! And the color is superb!
Hey Lucy C!
Oh, I don’t even think I did this polish enough justice. In person, it is 100x prettier because it sparkles like something fierce. My camera tends to ‘refine’ a lot of the sparkling for some reason. If I blur the image, you can see the blingtastic nature of it more, but…haha, I sometimes get annoyed at myself if I post really blurry photos, so I try not to do that.
Glad that you liked my swatches! π
Fun! What greens are on your top 10 list, now that you mention it? I’d love to see that! And maybe your top 10 purple and blue lists too! π
Hey jp!
I’ve been thinking about doing “Top 10” lists for each colour category – just need to really give it some thought and make the time to round up the photos. π
In my list of Top 10 Greens, I’d definitely have to include Sally Hansen Project Runway, China Glaze It’s Alive, China Glaze Emerald Sparkle, China Glaze Glittering Garland, Chanel Peridot…and I’d have to look through my stash to figure out the rest.
I’ll be honest. I’m a bit taken aback that this is a glitter polish. The finish reminds me so much of Sacred Ground (one I have yet to get my hands on) and that one’s a foil (I think?) so how fun to find out this was a glitter polish. I had to go back and look a few more times to convince myself! It really does have a foil look to it that I adore. Best of all is how it leans more true green and not bluish as some tend to be. I can definitely see why this has easily made it to your top 10 list!

Hey Carmela!
In person, it’s definitely a glitter fest! π My camera just likes to ‘sharpen’ each piece of glitter, so I guess that makes it look more like a foil in photos. :S
Nonetheless, it’s still one gorgeous polish! (And eek, stop turning me into a green fiend! π Blue will not be happy! Hahahaha!)

Sorry, but stop isn’t in my vocabulary when we’re talking about green polishes. π Blue will just have to deal with it!
ooooh….Look at the depth!! Loves it!
Hey karen!
Oh, Earth Matters is so vain…It probably thinks this post is about it… π Even though it is. (Carly Simon song is stuck in my head now.)
AWWWW…. you sport these greens so well!!!! I mean it… while I won’t be reaching for all that many greens in my future, this is so pretty on you!!!!
I have recently received a SpaRitual (the second in my collection) from a dear friend of mine π It is a red with shimmer and I LOVE it… I have nothing like it π

Hey Marta!
It’s so cool how we gravitate toward different colours. I like wearing shades vicariously through you because they might not look right on me. π Together, we’ll cover all the bases! Polishes, beware!
Hehe, so glad that you like Radiant. The minute I read your comment that you were anxious to see that one swatched in my Haul of Shame post, I knew it was meant to be yours.
Oh I was waiting for this one when I saw your post with the bottle shots! Look super gorgeous, would love to own this one. I’ve actually never tried Spa Ritual!

Hey Tina!
Hehe, the second I saw Earth Matters, I was itching to wear it. π
Is it because you find it difficult to find SpaRitual polishes near you? It’s harder to locate for me, and I think that’s the main reason why I haven’t bought many of them.
Yep! I don’t think I have ever seen these in any beauty supply yet. I would have to purchase online so there’s none of that impulse buying that I like to do :).

Sephora is supposed to start carrying SpaRitual polishes, but since this particular shade is older, I think it’ll be hard to find in a physical store now. Sadly, yes, online is your best bet!
