Slatkin & Co. Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Candle Review & Pictures

Slatkin & Co. Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Candle Review & Pictures Bath & Body WorksWith all the candles in my stash, I’m a little embarrassed. They’re literally hidden away from judgemental eyes in my closet!

If there’s ever a wax shortage, it’ll probably be my fault. πŸ˜‰

TheΒ Slatkin & Co. Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Candle is my favourite pumpkin-cinnamon candle. I tried it last year for the first time, and this year, I stocked up on it again during a sale.

I’d recommend this one to those who are fond of pumpkin pie!

Slatkin & Co. Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Candle Review

Fragrance

In the fall, I like to make pumpkin pie. And I have to say that this candle smells very similar to the cinnamon pumpkin-pie filling I use, except the candle’s stronger! Mmm! Every time I light this candle, I want to eat it.

There are a lot of candles that claim to have pumpkin scents and miss the mark, but, Slatkin & Co. got the bullseye dead on! It’s love at first whiff!

The dominant notes are cinnamon and pumpkin, but you can tell that there’s something else blended in that makes it smoother. I’m assuming it’s the sweet butter and vanilla cream, although my nose can’t separate them from the other notes.

Scent Throw

The Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin scented candle by Slatkin & Co. has a medium to strong scent throw. After just a few minutes burning it, you’ll be able to easily detect the fragrance. Because of its strength, I’d recommend burning it in a medium-to-large room so that it’s not overpowering.

Burning

I’ve went through several Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin candles, and each one burned beautifully – i.e. cleanly and evenly. There wasn’t any wasted wax, and the flames were strong. This is the quality that I’ve come to expect from Slatkin & Co. (I’ve only had a few duds in other fragrances, but overall, I think their company truly does produce extraordinary candles!)

Seasonal Availability

This is a recurring fall scent, so even if you can’t get your hands on it now, don’t worry. It seems to be a favourite among the wax lovers like myself, so Bath & Body Works keeps bringing it back. πŸ™‚

If they ever discontinue this, I would be shocked and upset!

    Pros

  • Smells mainly of cinnamon & pumpkin (just like a delicious pumpkin pie)
  • Medium-to-strong scent throw
  • Burns cleanly
  • Recurring candle scent
    Cons

  • Seasonal (but it’s a recurring scent)

Final Verdict: 10/10

This is one of my favourite candles to burn – it’s spicy, pumpkiny, and very realistic! If you’re craving a pumpkin pie and don’t have any on hand, smelling this candle is the next best thing! πŸ˜‰

What’s the last candle you burned? Have you tried any Yankee Candles? How do you think they compare to the ones by Slatkin & Co.? (I’ve never tried any Yankee Candles.)

I love pumpkin pie! This is definitely the right candle for me. Thankfully, this has a good scent throw and it burns well. There’s a huge possibility that I’ll be eaving the store with this! πŸ™‚

      Hey maddy!

I’m hoping that at the upcoming Semi-Annual Sale, they’ll still have these because I want to stock up. I’m running low again on this scent.

      Hey Ashesela!

HAHAHA – totally! That’s a good excuse that I’ve used a few times. πŸ˜‰ I love the way you think…hehe, makes me feel a little better about having so many candles.

      Hey Barbara!

Great candle lovers burn alike! πŸ˜‰

I love this scent throughout the fall and winter. Sometimes I’ll even burn it in the spring when it’s cooler. The only time I never burn it is in the summer because it seems off to burn cinnamon notes when it’s hot and humid outside.

Haha, it’s okay I hoard my candles away too! I can never get enough of these Slatkins though, they are definitely my favorite candles ever. Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin is not one of my faves (which is weird because I usually love pumpkin) but I know its a very popular scent! My favorite pumpkin they did this year was Pumpkin Spice Latte. It was amaazing!

      Hey Jacqui!

*Gasp* Not one of your favourites? I’m shocked! Hehe, but yeah, the Pumpkin Caramel Latte one was delicious smelling! Oh my gosh…I’ll need to bring it back out and burn it today. Thanks for reminding me! πŸ™‚

    Think of it this way…

If ever there is a power outage, you’ll still have enough candlelight to paint your nails. πŸ˜€

I love how Slatkin candles smell. They are always perfectly scented so that they don’t overpower and they last really well.

Sis bought me some Yankee Candles last month. Most of their scents are good. Not as strong as Slatkin, but still nice. The ones I have are called Sun and Sand. I’ve been burning them every nite since they are in the big jars. One minor thing…they soot something fierce, so you really have to be diligent about trimming the wicks between burnings. That said, they smell exactly like the beaches where we used to live–that delicate balance of sand, sunscreen, and those little straw mats that always smelled so good.

      Hey karen!

Hehehe, yes, forget about the power outage – what’s most important is painting my nails. Hehehhehe! πŸ˜‰

Thanks for weighing in about Yankee Candles vs. Slatkin & Co. One day I’d want to try their bakery scents and compare their cupcake candle to Slatkin’s. (Ever since I got into candles, I’ve wanted to see the large Yankee Candles store in person – it looks like it’d be so much fun to just browse for an hour and sniff all the different scents. It seems like they have nearly every imaginable candle!)

I’m so glad you found a pumpkin candle to satisfy your pumpkin lust! πŸ™‚ It was always so disappointing reading about your excitement over something distinctly pumpkin and then being let down by the lack of that for which you bought it for. Yay for pumpkin! πŸ˜€ I’m curious to see how many candles you have now. Maybe you can pass it off as disaster readiness? I mean, candles also provide light..right? Bonus points for smelling awesome. πŸ˜‰

Btw, remember how I said I was going to grab a couple last weekend? I got sidetracked and didn’t have enough time to decide. B&BW is ridiculous. Waaay too many choices! I’ll take another stab at it this weekend. Wish me luck! πŸ™‚

      Hey Carmela!

Hehe, yeah, I’m always giving pumpkin-scented candles a chance. This is the one I keep going back to. (I also really loved the pumpkin candle you gave me, of course!)

Yes, I do remember, and I was curious as to which candles you ended up with. That’s okay – no rush. πŸ™‚ I know what you mean about there being soooooooo many choices. It can be really overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time.

Okay, it sounds like I’m enabling (I am…hehe), but you should go soon. Yesterday when I went, they had their candles on sale – 2 for $25 CAD. That’s the lowest I’ve seen them in stores…well, unless you count the Semi-Annual Sales (they MAY be lower, but I can’t be sure). So now’s the time to grab any that catch your eye.

No problem. πŸ™‚ I just hope that they still have the sale going on this weekend. They never seem to post expiry dates for their sales. And every time I’ve ever asked the sales people when the sale ends, they always tell me that they don’t know. But that can’t be the case, right? I mean, the employees have to take down the signs. Unless management withholds that information from them…which is pretty funny and secretive. It’s not like they’re selling gold bricks! πŸ˜›

I have the fine fragrance mist in this scent but I haven’t smelled the candle version. I am hoping it smells just like pumpkin pie, like you said because I REALLY love pumpkin pie!!!!!!!!!!!! Yum! I would love for my entire bedroom to smell like it!
