First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians! I hope that you’re having a wonderful long weekend with loved ones!
If you’ve been following Swatch And Learn for a little while, you may remember me telling you on October 1st that I got to meet Suzi Weiss-Fischmann for a 3rd time.
I attended a media luncheon unveiling the Nicole by OPI Carrie Underwood Collection coming out in January 2014. At the end of the event, PR gave me an awesome swag bag with the entire collection! *Fans self with manicured hand*
Well, before I share my thoughts on the incredible experience with you (the post is coming with a special giveaway for readers!), I want to show you the 14 nail-polish shades.
There’s a nice diversity in terms of colours and finishes, so I think everyone can find at least a couple that call out to them.
I’ve already worn a few, and in the next little while, expect my full in-depth reviews and swatches of every single one on here in future posts!
For today, I’ll show you some quick swatches taken with my camera’s flash, bottle shots, and the official press release.

Here’s the official press release provided by PR (plus photos I took of the actual bottles since they give you a better idea than promo pictures):
Colour Me Carrie!
Nicole by OPI Announces Partnership with Country Superstar Carrie Underwood for 2014
Nicole by OPI launches 14 new nail lacquers inspired by award-winning recording artist Carrie Underwood. This collection features a colourful mosaic of hues in a variety of finishes, including pink, red and coral cremes; chunky and textured glitters in gold, silver and white; and rich eggplant and khaki green shades.
“Carrie is the perfect partner for Nicole by OPI. Her music evokes powerful emotions in its listeners, and we wanted to give fans a way to express their feelings through colour,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “In working closely with Carrie, we came up with 14 nail lacquers that truly encapsulate her soulful spirit and showcase different facets of her personality – from softer pastels and dark sultry shades to playful glitters.”
The Carrie Underwood Collection includes:

Which of these shades are you most excited to see for a future in-depth review post? Which 3 polishes would you combine for a single manicure?
Lovin the gray and the 2 glitters. I’ll definitely be checking these out.
Hey Melissa!
The greyish teal is the one that stood out to me the most initially, and it’s also one that I asked the nail technician to paint my nails with when I went to the media luncheon with Suzi for the Nicole by OPI event. 😉 (Will be blogging about it really soon.)

Hey Thatiane!
Yeah, the Selena Gomez Collection from them before was amazing – so much variety! I really enjoyed that!
Fisher Queen & Backstage Pass my fabs
Hey Icequeen81!
I knew the vampy shades would be your favourites! 🙂
Today, I’m actually wearing some Hallowe’en nail art that I did using Fisher Queen as the base for 2 polishes. You can see a sneak peek of it on Facebook and Instagram. (I’ll be blogging about it soon.)
I like the flower glitters in Party Bus. 🙂

Hey Lizzy!
They’re pretty neat, especially because the larger sizes allows you to see the holographic effect much more on your nails!
I really like Carrie’d Away, Party Bus and Lips are Dripping Honey. Sing you like a Bee is pretty too.
Hey Tanya!
There are so many awesome choices, and there’s a good mix of finishes. Can’t wait to review them fully in January, but I’ll continue to give sneak peeks and “Quick Look” posts leading up until then. 🙂
These look pretty! Can’t wait for it to come out.
Hey Maddy!
I think a lot of people are really excited for January to come! 🙂 Are you a Carrie Underwood fan? I remember watching her develop her skills on American Idol. She really has a powerful voice. I’m not a big country-music fan, but I do like several of her songs.
I’m adding a bunch of these to my wish list. I love Carrie’d away, Party Bus, Sing you like a Bee and Goodbye Shoes.
Hey Cindi!
There are so many great shades, and I’ve noticed that there are quite a few pink-tone shades. I don’t often try out pinks, but over the last year or so, I’ve been trying to branch out. And the ones in this collection are really nice. I was most enthralled with how Love My Pups ended up looking against my skin tone. I may need to try more lighter shades to branch out even more since I tend to go for bolder hues.
Lucky duck! I actually think those glitters (esp. Lips and Party Bus) and shimmers are pretty fab, will look forward to your review on them 🙂

Hey Margo!
*Quack quack* Hehe! 😉
There are lots of great shades in this collection, and even though it’s set for a January 2014 release, I think some of the polishes have a spring vibe, which I’m loving!
Ohhh!!! I think I’m really loving Sing You Like A Bee! Beautiful!
Hey Lacqueerisa!
It’s so pretty and soft, but the texture keeps it fresh, I think!
I love color me country and carnival cotton candy! I wish I was there for the free nail polish, but my motive is questionable, lol.
Hey Gabby!
Hahaha, I think it would be okay because you’d certainly show a love for polish, and that’s why everyone was invited – to share the excitement over the new collection! 🙂
