OPI Who Are You Calling Bossy?!? is described as a “stormy black” in the official press release for the OPI Peanuts Collection, and I definitely agree with it.
This is a jet black, not one of those near-black shades that sometimes frustrates me.
When I want really dramatic, dark tips, I prefer to reach for a full-on black, not one that tip-toes around the bush. This one is gothic, and I love it!
Sure, this black may not look unique, but the formula is wonderful. At just 2 coats, I got great coverage. (Sometimes with other blacks, you need 3 coats, or the formula is really thick, leaving behind an uneven finish.)
If you don’t already have a staple black nail polish in your collection, this is a good one to own!

OPI Who Are You Calling Bossy?!? Review
Colour
Who Are You Calling Bossy?!? by OPI is a jet black, so it’s a strong shade that’s not for the faint of heart.
I know that some will reserve it for Hallowe’en, but I’m the type of person who’ll wear black nail polish any time, even in the summer. I wear whatever colour I want when I want, and even if my nails don’t match my outfit, it doesn’t matter. I’m still a happy camper because I’m very easy-going when it comes to that.
Every nail-polish collection ought to include a black lacquer because there’s always a reason to bust it out, especially if you do nail art.
Finish
This nail polish has a creme finish – it’s straight-forward and to the point, which I like.
If you own OPI Black Onyx, you might skip this because they’re both blacks with the same finish. However, in terms of formula, I prefer OPI Who Are You Calling Bossy?!? because it seemed to get more opaque with fewer coats than OPI Black Onyx. That being said, it’s been a very long time since I’ve used OPI Black Onyx, but I remember my bottle having a thick formula, yet needing 3 coats to get the best coverage.
Application & Formula
Who Are You Calling Bossy?!? by OPI has a great formula. I like how it reaches full opacity with just 2 coats, and it’s not too thick or too thin. Just right, Goldilocks! 😉

Final Verdict: 8/10
Who Are You Calling Bossy?!? by OPI adds drama to your nails, and if you’re looking to sport a gothic manicure or need to use a reliable black for nail art, this is a great shade to have in your arsenal. However, if you already have a black creme, you can easily skip purchasing this one because it’s a standard colour with no crazy bells or whistles.
Do you have a favourite black nail polish? Do you wear black lacquer only around Hallowe’en or any time? Are you a fan of the Peanuts cartoon?
I know I’ll be getting this one. I intend to get the complete set. I’m a nut for anything having to do with Snoopy.
Hey Melissa!
Cool – have fun playing with all the colours! I know you’ll love them, especially the glitters! I can’t wait to wear OPI To Be Or Not To Beagle again over a different base colour.
