Hope you had a great weekend!
(I ended up watching The Age of Adaline. It was an entertaining film that I enjoyed overall because I like the message of never giving up on love, but there were weak parts in the plot that force you to suspend disbelief and to overlook the “scientific explanations” in order to get into the story. I wish that they spent more time on character development and that the movie had a believable ending.)
Back to nail polish! ๐
Today, I have swatches and bottle shots of theย OPI SoftShades 2015 Collection! (If you want background information, check out the OPI SoftShades 2015 Collection Press Release I posted earlier.)
While you know that I’m a fan of bold and even crazy colours, there’s a time and a place for sweet shades like these.
I was pleasantly surprised by how funky Make Light of the Situation and Petal Soft were. Those are my two favourites in the bunch!
There are six shades in theย OPI SoftShades 2015 Collection:
- Make Light of the Situation
- Chiffon My Mind
- Act Your Beige!
- Put It in Neutral
- This Silver’s Mine
- Petal Soft

I thought that you might also want to see OPI Petal Soft up close because the matte finish is quite interesting.
Which do you like the most? Are you drawn to soft shades like these or bolder hues? If you work, does your place of employment have any rules regarding what nail polishes you can or can’t wear?
These are all very pretty. I’m most interested in Petal Soft. I’m curious, how hard is it to get the flower glitter onto the nail? Does it require fishing for it? Thanks for sharing!
Hey Melissa!
I found it pretty challenging to get the flower out with just the brush. I had to dig around for a while. It might’ve been easier if I used a toothpick to pull it out.
I’m in love with this collection.
Hey Heather!
Glad you’re digging it! ๐
Right now, I’m wearing Essie Make Some Noise, which is a fun pop of colour, but I may switch it up and wear one of these softer shades to alternate with (for a palate cleanser of sorts).
I think that I really like Petal Soft. It’s really cute. I’m more of bolder hue type of girl, but I still find colors like these intriguing.
Hey Sasha!
I totally need to experiment more with softer shades. Whenever I wear one, I feel so elegant. Hehe, I’m used to having loud and tacky nails. ๐
Beautiful colors. So professional and cool.
Hey Robbie!
Yes, the ones that aren’t glittery would be great for a traditional, professional office environment. ๐ I’m going to use them as palate cleansers!
Petal Soft is the only one really calling me from this collection

Hey Tea & Nail Polish!
It really stands out – interesting glitter and need matte finish!
