OPI Juice Bar Hopping is the vivid orange from the OPI Neon Collection, and I’m completely in love with it!
It has that really fresh, “squishy” look that lots of jelly nail polishes have. But, in order to get it to look its best, you must wear a shiny top coat because this lacquer dries matte and looks a bit flat on its own.
The summery shade looks even better on your nails than in the bottle, and it’s one of those colours that has so much impact. I know that I’ll be wearing this again!
P.S. In case you didn’t already see the post on it yesterday, I’m having a worldwide giveaway for the entire full-size OPI Neon Collection, as well as the new white base coat, OPI Put a Coat On! Enter now through May 31 at 11:59 pm EDT for your chance to win big!

OPI Juice Bar Hopping Review
Colour
Juice Bar Hopping by OPI is a bright orange that’s full of life. It looks amazing in the bottle, but when you paint it onto your nails, bam! 😉 I love how bright, happy, and bold it is. It’s really my kind of shade, and it’s not for the faint of heart.
This shade also works well when combined with other colours that aren’t neon or even bright. I love how a neon can accent a manicure. (Check out this simple little freehand nail-art I did recently using this and Zoya DIllon recently to see what I mean!)
Finish
The finish was a pleasant surprise for me because I was expecting a typical creme finish. This one had what some might call a “crelly” finish, meaning that it’s a creme-jelly hybrid.
It has has that squishy, jelly-like appearance (after you apply a shiny top coat), but the coverage is pretty good and more opaque than a regular jelly that’s super sheer.
If you don’t use a shiny top coat, Juice Bar Hopping by OPI dries to a matte finish, and I think it looks pretty flat. To make it sparkle like the star it is, you must use a great shiny base coat. (Of course it’s totally up to you how you like to wear your polish, but I can’t see myself wearing this or any other neon nail polish solo. I love seeing a shiny top coat bring them to life!)
Application & Formula
The formula on this was excellent and smooth. I didn’t have any application issues, and I used 3 coats because I wanted to build up opacity and see if the colour would intensify.
I could’ve probably gotten away with 2 coats, but I decided to add a 3rd coat because, for neon nail polish, that’s typically the number of coats I use to maximize the colour.

Final Verdict: 9.5/10
Juice Bar Hopping by OPI is so gorgeous, and it’s probably now my favourite orange nail-polish of all time because it’s bright, super shiny, and ‘squishy-looking’! Of course, the ease of application also helps!
If you haven’t tried an orange polish, summer is definitely the time to venture out. You may be surprised how much you like it. Orange isn’t a colour that I typically gravitate toward, but this is love for me! 🙂
Do you wear orange nail polish? Do you always wear shiny top coats with your neon nail polish like I do, or do you wear them matte? How would you wear Juice Bar Hopping?
I’m not an “orange” person, but I love this color.
Hey Melissa!
Usually I go for orange polish more in the autumn, but a bright orange like this really works for the summer! 🙂
Very nice orange. So shiny!

Hey Lizzy!
Yeah, I love how shiny it looks with a top coat! 🙂
I have such a love hate relationship with jelly finishes, because I love that “sqishy” look but I have how many coats you have to apply to make them fully opaque, but it sounds like this one has a bit more pigment than normal jellies if you’re abel to get away with just three coats!
XOXO

Hey Veronica!
Yes, this one isn’t the super-sheer type of typical jelly. Also, I tend to use medium coats, so if you’re using thin coats, you may need to use more than I did.
*drool* i can’t wait to get my hands on this collection!! This color looks SO good with your skintone! Sometimes the bright colors can be a bit much, and sometimes they really ‘pop’ and work with your coloring. This one looks about perfect for you! So hoping i can get this one.. And i really want the green one, too 🙂
Hey Pema!
Thank you very much! 🙂 I don’t usually wear shades like this, but I actually really enjoyed wearing this. I can’t wait to try more!
I like this color
Hey Anat!
It’s nice and bright for a KAPOW of colour! 🙂
the red is awesome I love it so much !
Hey Jessica!
It’s more of an orange in person. Really fun and energetic-looking!
I love how loud this colour is.
Hey Ann!
Haha, yeah! It’s calling out to you to paint with it! 🙂
Not being the biggest orange polish hoarder I planned to get only 1 other one and couldn’t decide between getting this or other recent orange releases like OPI Where Did Suzi’s Man-Go?
This post has narrowed down my choice; I think I need them all…
Hey Lee!
Hahahaha! That last line cracked me up! I needed the laugh – thank you! 😉
