Below is the official press release sent to me by PR:

Gwen Stefani Joins OPI to Release 18 New
Limited Edition Holiday Nail Lacquers

OPI announces the launch of 18 new limited edition holiday nail lacquers inspired by No Doubt singer/songwriter and L.A.M.B. designer Gwen Stefani. This seasonal collection includes an assortment of red, maroon, burgundy, and forest green hues, along with shimmer-packed silver, gold and black shades.

“During the holiday season, women adopt a more glamorous beauty look,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder & Brand Ambassador. “OPI’s 18 new shades are inspired by Gwen’s edgy, sophisticated style. There are several rich, warm reds – Gwen’s signature color – deep, jewel-toned amethyst, garnet and emerald, as well as silver and gold. I recommend wearing these festive nail lacquers to instantly accessorize party dresses and
elegant winter-wear.

“Gwen Stefani Holiday for OPI also includes an array of unique glitters in shades of black and white, with iridescent and chrome accents,” adds Weiss-Fischmann. “The holidays are all about indulgence, and these sparkly shades epitomize luxury!”

I have done 2 things in reading this post: 1) Added another volume to my ever growing Wish List and 2) Mentality spent every dime of my “Mad” money that I’ll for the next 6 months. These are gorgeous. I can’t wait to see them in the stores and maybe see some swatches. Too gorgeous! Thanks for sharing them!

      Hey Melissa!

The holiday collection from OPI is usually a very large one that nailphiles especially go crazy over! 😉 So I understand that several colours managed to jump onto your To Buy List!

Plus I’m a fan of Gwen Stefani – her style is very dynamic, so it’s great to see her teaming up with OPI!

I think I’m a bit jaded because I’ve been collecting nail polish for years and have such a large collection. Out of all these polishes, only a few of the glitters strike me as unique, like Snow Globetrotter and So Elegant. All of the reds are an automatic pass for me, although I know they’re an important part of any Christmas collection. I definitely want to see them all in person, though! 🙂

      Hey anotherCristina!

I know what you mean about the reds being an automatic pass because your nail-polish collection is large. I’ve also been collecting nail polish for years, so it takes a lot to impress me.

Red nail polish is one of the most common colours, and because I tend to favour the more unique or strange shades, red isn’t my first choice. That being said, the OPI Gwen Stefani Collection is set for the holidays, so reds are a staple. Haha, I think that people would complain if a holiday collection didn’t have any reds. (But, yeah, OPI puts out TONS of reds, probably because it’s Suzi’s favourite shade to wear.)

Hehe, you know that I’m in love with the fact that there’s a GREEN in the mix! It seems like OPI doesn’t make greens as often as other brands do, so whenever I see one, I have that “MUST HAVE IT” mentality! 😉

If there’s just ONE shade I had to choose as the star, I must say that I’m most looking forward to wearing First Class Desires! That looks like it’ll be very promising!

      Hey Rashmi!

The amazing PR team said that the collection will be on its way to me, so I’ll do my best to swatch as many as I can. The ones you mentioned are also the ones that appeal to me the most, so I’ll surely wear and review those! 🙂

Have you ever tried OPI “Royal Rajah Ruby”? It’s a really rich, shimmery burgundy – one of my favourite burgundies of all time! It’s discontinued, though, so it may be tricky to track down. Another great, saturated burgundy is OPI “German-icure by OPI”, but it was part of the OPI Germany Collection, which is old. Hmm, I can’t think of any current burgundies that really moved me from OPI, sadly, except those two!

Hehe, I think all the purple polishes in every collection are looking out for you, too. When they see you, they scream, “TAKE ME HOME!” 😉
