Launching in May are nine colours in the OPI Color Paints Blendable Nail Lacquer collection. They’re semi-translucent, buildable polishes that can be layered and blended to create unique nail art effects!
You can create your own shades with them or use them as is, which lends itself to a world of creative possibilities.
OPI has also included a silver, which is intended to be used as a base colour to enhance the pops of colour of what you put on top.
I think that there’s so much you can do with this nail concept, so I’m excited to try them out and to see what others come up with!
P.S. Did you see the second blog post that I sneaked in yesterday evening? It tells you all about OPI’s latest initiative of how you can “speak in colour”! (Plus I also tell you why I wanted to become an international spy when I was a child.)

Hmmmm interesting. Can’t wait to see this on your nails.
Hey Robbie!
Can’t wait to share the nail looks I come up with! 🙂
Sounds like this has a potential for messy hands with polish all over the place… I like it!! 😀

Hey Joyce!
Hahaha! It’s ‘finger paint’ for nailphiles! 😉
They look like the Sheer Tints from last year.
Hey Eylul!
They have waaaaay more pigmentation than the OPI Sheer Tints. They OPI Color Paints are so different (and better, in my opinion)! 🙂
This looks very interesting! Can’t wait to try them out!

Hey Melissa!
Thanks for sharing my enthusiasm over this collection! 🙂
Wow, this is great. Hope some videos show up showing how they look and what can be done. Cool concept.
Hey Sandra!
I’m sure lots more videos will pop up. There are so many different things you can do with these polishes, and nailphiles are so creative! 🙂
I’m definitely going to need every single color. If these are in between the Sheer Tints and the Sorbets… I will be so, so, soooooo happy!!!
Hey Sarah!
They are so pigmented and buildable. You’ll love them – have fun!
Mary,
This isn’t a comment about polish but I just wanted to tell you a little story. My dad died unexpectedly last week so my husband, son and I flew out (2500 miles) for the funeral. It was a hectic, long, emotional weekend. While flying back home at 5:00am, we were so exhausted and just wanted the flight to be over (making matters worse, I’m on crutches recovering from a broken leg). For some reason my cell phone clock wasn’t adjusting to the time zones as we moved through them and I was too weary to figure out when the trip would be over. Then I saw your email about a new blog post and voila, I had my answer. You are always so punctual about when they go live that I was able to determine the time zone we were in by what time stamp was on the email notice. We were thrilled that the flight was now one hour shorter than we thought. So just know that your blog helped brighten a moment 30,000 miles up in the air for a grieving family due to your punctuality. 🙂 You never know the ways in which the smallest thing can touch another life. Take care from a fellow Mary…
Hey Mary!
Oh my goodness – I’m terribly sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is something that always hurts deeply, and you never feel prepared to endure all the pain. I hope that time heals your heart and that you remember the happy memories spent with your father.
My father passed away unexpectedly and suddenly in early 2010, so I understand how you must be feeling. My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to you.
Gosh – you are so strong to go through so much AND deal with a broken leg. You are an inspiration to me – please stay strong! You have my support and love!
Thank you so much for leaving me a comment. It brightened my day so much to hear your kind words.
*HUG*
This seem like a great collection
Hey Icequeen81!
It’s a fun rainbow! 🙂
I wonder if they will water marble well. That makes me super excited.
Hey Jessica!
Good question – I’m curious, too!
I hope these have mixing balls in them!
Hey Rachel!
I just shook one to check, and YES, they have the mixing balls. 🙂
