Shimmery shadows are like bling for your eyes without the P. Diddy price tag. NYX Ultra Pearl Mania pigments are so inexpensive that you’ll feel like you got a five-finger discount.
The bottles are small and cute – seemingly the perfect size to travel with. But because the application itself is messy, I’d advise against taking these on trips unless you’re more experienced with using loose pigments.
I’d recommend trying a few of these NYX Ultra Pearl Mania pigments because they’re affordable, have good color payoff, and provide a pretty shimmer.

NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Review
This is the first time that I’ve tried loose pigments of any kind, and yeah, it was super messy. I think it would’ve been better if the packaging was a tub with a wide mouth so you can dip your brush in. Instead, it’s a bottle with a narrow mouth, so it’s difficult or impossible to dip your brush in. I had to pour some in the lid and dip my brush in that.
The pigmentation was excellent on all of these. Using very little powder, you get outstanding color payoff. All of these are super shimmery, but especially Turquoise, Walnut, Mocha, and Nude. They all have a velvety texture.
These are great for bringing more attention to your eyes because they catch the light. I love the frostiness, but I can see how people who have more mature eyelids may not like it as this finish will exaggerate every wrinkle.
Because they’re powders, you have to be extra careful about fallout. I suggest holding a tissue paper to cover your under-eye area unless you have a fan brush to sweep away fallout.

Final Verdict: 8.5/10
Despite the drawbacks I mentioned, I would highly recommend the NYX Ultra Pearl Mania pigments. At just $1.50 USD each (and even cheaper if you purchase them during a Cherry Culture sale), they are a steal!
