Nicole by OPI Naturally is from the Selena Gomez Collection that comes out in January 2013.
If you’re into super girly nail polish, Naturally will be right up your alley. It’s soft and sweet. It makes me think of My Little Pony and the Care Bears.
Remember all those cool cartoons from the 1980s? Children’s cartoons these days just don’t seem to have the same magic as they did back then.
And do you remember She-Ra, the Princess of Power? She’s He-Man’s twin sister.
When I was in elementary school, I went as her for Hallowe’en. I remember shopping for the costume with my dad.
Money was extremely tight, so when I was a kid, I hardly ever got the opportunity to wear a store-bought costume. (Sure, I liked making my own costume, but when you’re a kid, it seemed like a big deal to be able to wear something that was already put-together.)
My dad made a huge sacrifice and bought me the store-made She-Ra costume. It was very simple (not deluxe), but it made me extremely happy to have this rare treat, and I appreciated it immensely.
I still have that costume carefully hung up in the closet at my mom’s place. And whenever I look at it, I smile as I think about some great childhood memories.

Nicole by OPI Naturally Review
Colour
Nicole by OPI Naturally is a soft pink that has a ‘marshmallow’-like quality to it. It’s one of those pinks that’s extremely girly and delicate, so if you’re looking for something that goes ba-bam-in-yo-face-and-all-up-in-yo-grill, this isn’t it. 😉 This is sweet and pretty.
Naturally is pinker and less peachy compared to Nicole by OPI Selena, and it’s obviously way paler than Nicole by OPI Spring Break, both polishes from the same collection that I’ve previously reviewed.
Finish
For the most part, Nicole by OPI Naturally has a creme finish. However, there’s very subtle silver micro-shimmer throughout.
When I wore this manicure, the sun never came out, but I bet when it’s sunny, you can see the silver shimmer a little more. I could see it subtly when it was overcast. Don’t expect this to be very glittery. The shimmer just brings an extra lightness to this polish that has a ‘fluffy’ personality.
Application & Formula
The formula was pretty average and easy enough to control. I didn’t have any issues with application or the formula.
To achieve full opacity, I might have been able to get away with 2 coats, but then I noticed a couple of nails had slight streakiness, so I applied a 3rd coat to all my nails to even it out.

Final Verdict: 6.5/10
Nicole by OPI Naturally is an okay nail polish. This type of pale pink doesn’t excite me in general, so that’s why you’ll notice the Final Verdict score is on the low side.
If you love pale pinks, you’ll probably like this one, too.
Do pale pinks also remind you of My Little Pony? Do you remember your first store-bought Hallowe’en costume?
That’s just not right. I know very well I never wear pink polish (except on the VERY rare occassion), but you make it look so good I want this one!

Hey Lizzy!
Hahaha, you flatter me! 😀 My ego says THANK YOU! 😉
Yes, I may have several shades like this in my stash. But because I love pinks like these, I think I’ll be needing this one too ;0). Looks lovely on you Mary.

Hey Marisa!
Thanks! I wasn’t as comfortable wearing this pink as some other colours. And, as usual, this is a shade that you’d rock the hell out of! 😉
Pale pinks definitely make me think of my childhood, care bears and bubble gum. I find it hard to make them seem “age appropriate” and yet, I DO wear them every so often 😀
I love that you are trying shades, even though they may not be your go-to-ones.
(what a sweet halloween costume story also) 😀
Hey Marta!
Haha, if everyone wore only age-appropriate shades, the nail world would be verrry boring! 😉 It’s so much fun being able to wear just any shade you want whenever you want. (I swear I’m going to be one of those old ladies with crazy nails. Just watch!)
