The Nicole by OPI Gumdrops Collection is really impressing me! All the shades I’ve tried so far were very flattering.
Today, I have a review on another shade from the collection – Nicole by OPI Cinna-Man of My Dreams!
This is a really interesting shade that I think people will love more in the fall. It reminds me of warm spices, so that’s why I would describe this nail polish as cozy!
It’s definitely not a colour that I typically wear, but I do like it a lot! If you like shades that are fall-inspired, I think you’ll dig it, too!
Nicole by OPI Cinna-Man of My Dreams is actually pretty complex when you inspect it closer. I’ll go into further detail later on in this post.

Nicole by OPI Cinna-Man of My Dreams Review
Colour
Although Nicole by OPI’s description, “warm spice pink” is accurate, I would describe Cinna-Man of My Dreams as an antique rose gold. Either way, it’s definitely fall- and spice-inspired.
It has a cozy look to it that will remind you of autumn and drinking warm beverages punctuated with spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. (I can’t wait for Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte to come back! Other than the Gingerbread Latte, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is pretty much the only drink I go to Starbucks for!)
The colour is more than meets the eye at first. Overall, you get the antique rose gold I mentioned, but when you look closer, you can see specks of the individual colours – pink, copper, and gold. They seem to be in equal parts – very interesting and complex!
Finish
Nicole by OPI Cinna-Man of My Dreams has a gritty finish on purpose to fit in with the textured-nail trend. It isn’t sharp, but I wouldn’t suggest you run your nails along chiffon or nylons, either.
I love wearing textured polishes because of the novelty, but if the grittiness gets to you, you can transform it into a typical, smooth polish with multiple layers of top coat. You’ll bring out the sparkle more this way, too.
You’ll love the matte-sparkle textured finish because it dries verrrrry quickly – perfect for those with a hectic schedule!
Application & Formula
As with all the Nicole by OPI Gumdrops shades I’ve tried so far, this one’s no exception – it applied evenly, and it was very pigmented.
One medium coat had great pigmentation and coverage, but a second was ideal. You shouldn’t need three coats, unless you’ve applied very thin coats.

Final Verdict: 9.5/10
I really enjoyed wearing this autumnal shade, even though it’s still summer. Now I’m really longing for the fall!
Are you looking forward to autumn, or do you want summer to last longer? If you could design any fall lacquer, what would it look like?
The colors in this collection are really spot-on! That said, I’m not sure why they used a “cinnamon” pun for this polish- I always envision cinnamon as maybe a brown, a burnt orange, or a red. Pink doesn’t seem to fit the name.
Hey Fedoraharp!
Well, this one has a bit of a ‘burnt’ look about it (in a cool way). There’s definitely a prominent rose throughout, though. Hehe, guess they just wanted to ‘spice’ things up with a ‘man’.
This is defenitaly a color I would wear. I think I will try to get my hands on it.
Hey Soraya!
You know, I liked it a lot more than I thought I would when I just looked at the bottle. This is happening to me quite a lot with the Gumdrops Collection. Even the ones that look spectacular in the bottle look better on the nails. Really neat!
Argh I already have OPI What Wizardry is This for my autumn/vampy mood. Why does my eye keep going back to this?
One fun thing I like about textured polish: If there’s a chip or scratch I can put a little spot of polish. When the repaired area dries it’s like nothing happened! I can’t do that with my regular creme and jelly polishes. (I can with some of my glitterbombs, though.)
Hey Tennyoceres!
Yes, that’s such a big perk. I’ve heard how others love the easy touch-up – definitely a plus. You know, even though I’m constantly at the computer for my job and type like a fiend, textured polishes wear very well on me. They usually will only chip after several days, and by then, I’m wanting to change the polish anyway.
Hmmm… do you think Nicole by OPI can be considered an OPI polish?
I promised myself not to buy anything but OPI, Zoya or China Glaze but these Gumdrops are SOOOOO gorgeous!
I already gave in wit a-england so I think I’ll just call this another OPI.
That way I’m still kind of keeping my promise… right? 😉
Hey Joyce!
They’re owned by the same company, and Suzi Weiss-Fischmann is behind both, so I do consider Nicole by OPI to be OPI.
Haha, if you call all nail polishes OPIs, that will be dangerous! 😉
Very pretty! I can’t wait until this collection starts showing up at stores near me. Fall is my favorite season and I love most things fall related.
Hey Tanya!
Yay! *High-five* Fall is my favourite season, too. I love everything about it – pumpkins, spices, cozy sweaters, leaves changing colours, knee-high boots and sweaterdresses, the best fashion, and great beauty products!
I think the NOPI line was started so non-salons could carry OPI. Just a guess!
Bought this a few weeks ago, but haven’t worn yet. Summer is way too short here in Alberta to start wearing autumn colours! Was sitting above Peyto lake the other day thinking ‘This was snowbound two months ago and will probably be snowbound again in two months.’ I’m a Toronto native, so although it is gorgeous where I live in winter (think Christmas card–it’s actually nauseating how beautiful it is), I find winter waaaaay too long.
Fortunately, I prefer autumn/winter colours. Still going to wait as long as I can before I bust them out though!
Hey Lisenden!
That’s an interesting thought to entertain! Yeah, maybe it was a way to make their colours more accessible, even in drugstores.
Hope you had a great time near Peyto Lake! 🙂 Sounds awesome! Crazy how the summers are that short. Here in Toronto, we’ve had a short-lived summer this year. It went from a lot of rain in the spring, then a short heatwave, and then cooler weather. Here and there, we get mild days, but I think this year, the fall and winter will be longer. (Last year, we had a verrrrry mild winter, so maybe Mother Nature is balancing things out.)
Enjoy the last hurrah of summer! I can understand why you aren’t keen on busting out the autumnal shades just yet!
