There are 2 new colours being added to the OPI Designer Series line this fall. Their names are OPI DS Indulgence and OPI DS Luxurious!
Haha, I created the graphic on the left to make it look like they’re doing handstands and having a wonderful time. I imagine that all the Designer Series polishes are really silly and like to have fun! 😉
Do you think you’ll be picking up either (or both) of these?
Indulgence caught my eye immediately, but because DS Luxurious is described as a coral-red, that has me interested, too.
Let’s all put on our monocles and take a closer look, shall we? And when you hold the virtual bottle, please remember to keep your pinkies up. 😉

Here’s the official press release sent to me by PR:
Indulge in Luxurious Lacquers!
OPI Launches New Diamond Dust-Infused Designer Series Shades for Fall 2012
OPI releases two new high-shine hues – DS Indulgence and DS Luxurious – to join the Designer Series by OPI collection this fall. Fusing fashion and technology, the Designer Series lacquer formula is enhanced with real diamond dust, offering light reflecting, multidimensional color.
DS Indulgence, a radiant red-violet with a shimmering, golden finish, will launch along with DS Luxurious, a captivating coral-red with a golden glisten. With these two additions, Designer Series by OPI will offer 12 glitter-filled, highly-saturated, breathtaking colors.
“Red nails are the epitome of glamour, and this fall OPI is adding two dazzling reds to the Designer Series line,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “With vivid color and intense shimmer and shine, these lacquers create a bold, high-fashion accessory statement. DS Indulgence provides a deeper, classic red look, while DS Luxurious incorporates rich auburn pigments.”
Designer Series by OPI nail lacquers contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde, and each includes OPI’s exclusive ProWide™ Brush for the ultimate in application. DS Indulgence and DS Luxurious will be available beginning September 2012 at Professional Salons and Spas for $14.95 CAN suggested retail for each Nail Lacquer.

Are either of these calling your name? What’s your favourite OPI DS polish you’ve tried?
Both actually look really pretty!!! Hmmm… I don’t know. Aah, who am I kidding? I’ll probably get them eventually!
LOL @ looking like they’re doing handstands.

Hey MariJo!
Yeah, even nail polish needs some exercise to stay healthy and to keep its formula in top shape. 😉
(I’m really hoping that these new Designer Series polishes apply well. We’ll see! *Fingers crossed*)
Hmmmmm I’d have to see these in person first, especially since they’re more expensive than regular OPI. I missed out on most of the Designer Series except for two, I was late for that train. The series confuses me a little…aren’t they all LE? I know a lot of them are HTF or discontinued right? So when they say they’re adding to the collection it makes me think there’s an entire collection available, but its really not. I could be totally wrong on this.

Hey Frosso!
No, I don’t think that all of them are limited edition, but I’m not totally sure. I think there are a bunch that are permanent because I always see them fully stocked at places like Trade Secrets. Well, maybe they’re there because they aren’t being sold? :S
Yes, some of the most spectacular ones (from years ago) are hard to get hold of and are discontinued – the linear holographic ones in particular like DS Glamour.
They are both so pretty! I might pick these up if I see them. I love both of those colors.

Hey Brianna!
I’m curious to see how they’ll look in person, too. The actual polishes often look better than in the press release!
I think they both look pretty – but if they are gritty, glitters only like OPI has done in the last few DS’s – I am not buying. Temptation in the last 2 (Temptation and think Magic were the last 2 releases on the DS line) – was a crunchy glitter that I don’t think is what the DS line was about. Will be curious to see these when they come out. I never can see them in my area as only one Beauty Supply and they don’t carry the DS ever…so I need to hear from bloggers on this one when they do get released. Kind of looks like both are going to be glitters. Hard to tell from the graphics however – they are on purpose always deceptive so as to cut down on imposter releases.
Hey beachgal!
I’m also curious to see if they’re gritty or not. Guess I’ll find out. And after I do, I’ll be sure to share my thoughts with you. 🙂
Need DS Indulgence! If only for the name. XD If it’s anything like Extravagance, I’m totally sold. Hopefully it won’t look like It’s My Year…

Hey Carmela!
Nope, it doesn’t look like OPI It’s My Year at all! It’s actually really orange-red. Hopefully I can edit my photos of it soon. (It’s very pretty, and I wore it for days before switching my polish.)
YES, you NEED it. Now if only OPI could come out with a polish called Swatch And Learn…Hahahaha…dreams!
