I’ve been absolutely obsessed with eyeshadow palettes lately. Something about holding so many colors in my hand at once just makes me giddy. Just think about the possible color combinations!
So when I saw the Maybelline EyeStudio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow Irresistibly Ivy palette, of course I found myself with it in the check-out line (not sure how I got there). It’s glittery, it has a beautiful blue-green color, and it was on sale. The odds were stacked against me.
Maybelline EyeStudio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow Irresistibly Ivy Swatches & Pictures
A shimmery nude color. I use it as an all-over base…just for the sake of using it. It doesn’t really show up on my skin at all. It’s disappointing that this is the biggest shadow in the palette!
This glittery bronze color is on the orangey side. You can use it as the lid color or as a highlight.
The best color, IMO, of the palette. It’s refreshing and oceany, with lots of sparkles. Very eye-catching.
This brown is a tad too red for me, but if you blend it out a lot, it becomes a good contouring shade with glitter.

Maybelline EyeStudio Irresistibly Ivy Eyeshadow Palette Review
Irresistibly Ivy wasn’t the first color I wanted to get. My first lust was Sapphire Siren (an all-blue palette), but that blue-green color swayed me. I’m really glad I got this because I can use different blues to recreate Sapphire Siren, while the Irresistibly Ivy green is more unique.
For the price, Maybelline EyeStudio Irresistibly Ivy eyeshadows are great. They are very pigmented, and you can adjust the color intensity based on how much you apply and how much you blend.
I would prefer the formula to be creamier. Right now, it’s a little on the powdery side. Just a preference. The formula is still good: all the shadows go on smoothly and easily. And I didn’t experience any glitter fall-out with the Maybelline EyeStudio Irresistibly Ivy palette.
I like how the colors within this set complement each other very well, allowing you to create many different looks. Use them independently, as pairs, trios or all at once! But in all honesty, I really only love the teal color. The other ones are very common, and I have a few really similar shadows already.
I keep going back to the drugstore to see if there are other palettes I want, but I feel like I can recreate most of them with other eyeshadows. So my suggestion is: don’t be fooled by the pretty color combinations that Maybelline has put together. Make sure the shades are truly unique to your collection!
That said, if you don’t have a big eyeshadow collection, you might want to get a few of the Maybelle EyeStudio Color Plush Silk palettes. They’re affordable, and you get multiple shades at once. Plus, there are neutrals, everyday colors and attention-grabbing colors available.

Final Verdict: 8/10
While I think the Maybelline EyeStudio Irresistibly Ivy palette is good, I don’t think it’s great. That blue-green color I absolutely love. I’m willing to do without the other shades though. I do, however, love the glittery finish on all the shadows.
What do you think? Love all the colors, or just one of them?
