I was invited to participate in another exclusive nail competition! The challenge? To come up with a manicure using colours from the Nicole by OPI Carrie Underwood Collection that complement a Carrie Underwood song! (Stamping and using stickers or jewels weren’t allowed.)
I would really appreciate your vote!
How to Vote on Twitter until Tuesday February 25:
- Tweet about my manicure and/or retweet a photo of my manicure.
- Use the hashtag #Mary4Nicole for it to count as a vote.
To make it easy, you can simply just click the retweet button below and sign into your Twitter account to vote!
Please RT this #NicoleChallenge photo and my hashtag, #Mary4Nicole, to vote for me! Details: http://t.co/WyExqM4fYL pic.twitter.com/HOsHqHO0zw

You can also include the hashtag #NicoleChallenge, but only #Mary4Nicole will count as a vote for me.
You can tweet once per day & retweet once per day. That’s 2 votes per person per day.
Here’s the quick manicure I came up with:
To find out the exact colours I used to create this freehand design and to read my explanation for how this ties into Carrie Underwood’s song, See You Again, keep reading the rest of this blog post!
I chose these shades:
- Nicole by OPI Goodbye Shoes
- Nicole by OPI Color Me Country
- Nicole by OPI Backstage Pass
You can see swatches and bottle shots in this Quick Look post on the entire Nicole by OPI Carried Underwood Collection I put together after meeting Suzi Weiss-Fischmann for a 3rd time at the media luncheon last year!
(To learn how to do this nail art, check out my Fishtail Braid Tutorial with step-by-step instructions and photos!)
My design complements Carrie Underwood’s song, See You Again. I interpreted the lyrics as saying that even if you have to say goodbye to a loved one, you can still hold them dear to your heart and take them with you.
I chose to use blue (Goodbye Shoes) to represent males, pink (Color Me Country) to represent females, and the dark shade (Backstage Pass) to represent hardship in a relationship or the loss of someone you love.
The overlapping of colours shows that in the end, we all are woven together in life’s “braid’.
The winner of this Nicole by OPI nail challenge is chosen based on whose assigned hashtag shows up the most on Twitter when PR does a search for it. That’s why it’s important for you to include #Mary4Nicole in your tweet up until February 25!
Whoever’s hashtag appears the most will win a Nicole by OPI prize pack!
Please support me in this competition. Every vote helps!
Thank you in advance for your participation!
