Who loves green eyeshadow? Me, me, me! I always thought my favorite is purple, but I was looking in my makeup stash and found green after green after green. Yikes. But who could blame me? (I don’t.) Green contrasts against brown eyes so beautifully!
And e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Earthy is a cheap find that I really enjoy wearing. The green is simply to die for, while the golden shimmery finish adds that wow factor. All for $3? I would definitely buy it again and again…and not feel a single bit of guilt.

elf Earthy Mineral Eyeshadow Review
A primer is a definite must with elf Earthy Mineral Eyeshadow. It will fade on you. And there is slight creasing when worn bare, so beware. But with a solid primer, it lasts until the end of the day. Also, primer kicks the natural green color and shimmer into high gear; otherwise, it looks a bit too light and dull.
I have tried wearing elf Earthy wet, and the formula takes the dampness of water well. However, it didn’t intensify the color any more than a primer would, and it ended up fading at the end of the day. Soooo primer it up!
As for the application? A cinch. Not much fall-out, and e.l.f. Earthy has a slightly creamy consistency to it, making applying it all over the lid really a breeze.
I’ve complained the swatches on the elf website don’t come close to the real colors. I understand that it can’t be accurate, but a lot of the times, it’s so drastically different that it’s like an entirely different color! elf Mineral Eyeshadow Earthy is just a tad darker than what’s shown on the site, and it has much more interest, too, thanks to the shimmery finish.
The packaging of e.l.f. Earthy Mineral Eyeshadow is typical for mineral products. I would like it if I can see the color that the pot holds without having to turn it upside down, but other than that, no complaints. The lid opens easily, and the filter holes allow just enough product to sift through.
And allow me to mention the price again. I got quality that exceeds that price of the ticket. Now, it’s not the best eyeshadow I’ve used since the color does fade, but it is a helluva lot better than some more expensive brands’ mineral shadows.

Final Verdict: 9.5/10
If you love green eyeshadows as much as I do, elf Mineral Earthy Eyeshadow is definitely worth the $3 you pay. Try it and let me know your thoughts.
What is your favorite green eyeshadow? Or do you like a different color? Share – I’m curious. 🙂
I love green eyeshadows and I have a ton of them (though not this one), but do you know – I can’t think of a favourite. This probably tells me I have too many! 😉

Hi Dee!
I say there’s no such thing as having “too many” green eyeshadows. At least that’s what I tell myself so I don’t feel bad. ahahah 😛
