I was in a Smurfy mood, so I turned to one of my favorites – China Glaze Blue Sparrow from the Ink Collection that came out a couple of summers ago.

Not only does this polish have a long-lasting formula, but the shade of blue is to die for! It’s a vibrant comic-book blue with blue glitter that’s fun to wear.

This is one of those colors that I’ve worn multiple times even though I have an embarrassing number of colors to choose from. China Glaze Blue Sparrow is bright, but not shocking. And it’s glittery, but not a disco ball. Tell me what you think of this color!

China Glaze Blue Sparrow Review

There are plenty of blue nail polishes for sale, but what’s special about China Glaze Blue Sparrow is that it’s a vivid blue chock full of blue glitter. I get a kick out of looking at my nails in various lighting when I wear this.

When you first apply it, it doesn’t look like much because it dries very matte and somewhat gritty. Slick on one thick coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat and it becomes glossy, glittery, true blue goodness!

The formula goes on slightly runny, but it’s of a consistency that’s easy to control with your brush. You could easily get away with applying 2 coats of nail polish, but I used 3 coats.

You’ll love how long it wears, too! My China Glaze Blue Sparrow swatches above were all taken after 4 days of wear. At work, I’m constantly typing on the keyboard, and even with all that extra stress on my nails, the polish didn’t chip.

I totally stand by this color because a couple of years ago when I first wore it, I wore it for over 2 consecutive weeks without reapplying any polish – it wears like iron!

• 1 coat of Nail Tek Foundation III (Ridge-filling Base Coat)
• 1 coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

This is a must-have blue! It wears for a long time without chipping and has a color that will flatter many different skin tones. Plus it’s not a bank breaker compared to many other nail polish brands on the market.
