Nubar Wildlife Swatches Nubar Wildlife comes from the Going Green Collection that stopped me in my tracks when I first saw it. (A collection full of all green nail polishes? Heaven!)

In the bottle, it looks like a shimmery dirty olive green with a pinkish glow. It definitely is a neutral green bumped up a few notches.

I’d consider this an elegant green rather than a fun green. And the soft pink duochrome effect makes it extremely unique.

China Glaze Party Hearty Top Coat Swatch The second I first laid eyes on China Glaze Party Hearty, I knew it would be my Christmas Day manicure. But little did I know how much I would love it. This top coat puts that festive touch on any base color.

If you’ve done some browsing on the internet, you’ll find lots of Party Hearty swatches over Jolly Holly, a rich evergreen polish from the same China Glaze ‘Tis The Season Collection.

So instead of showing you the same combinations you’ve seen a bazillion times, I decided to show you Party Hearty layered over a different color. Tell me what you think!

Pink is one of those colors that I like but think I can’t wear for some reason. It might be because my skin tone’s so light that I think pink just blends in. But let me introduce you to a pink that I think anyone, including myself, can pull off: Milani Digital!

The color is more of a rose with a tinge of purple than a baby pink, which is really flattering on many skin tones. Also, there are glitter flakes offering a reflection of hues – so the nail polish looks different depending on the light! Come see why this Milani Digital nail polish is now my favorite pink. Nubar Reclaim Swatches Flannery O’Connor suggested in 1953 that a good man is hard to find. Well, so is a strong green holographic nail polish. But I found one that I love – Nubar Reclaim from the limited-edition Going Green Collection!

What I love most about Nubar Reclaim is that instead of having the more common scattered holo effect, it has the linear holo effect. What does this mean? You actually can see the rainbow forming in lines on your nails. Rainbow Brite, eat your heart out!

This is most definitely a color that gets noticed. At the Christmas get-together I hosted a few days ago, one of my male friends complimented me on this hue, and I think it’s the first time he ever commented on my choice of nail polish.

Alright, guys and gals. If you love you nail color that’s anything but flat, this one’s for you. From the 3D Holographic Collection, Milani Hi-Tech offers you mega depth. And depending on the light you catch it, it looks like either a warm color or a cool tone.

This nail polish features Holographic Image Technology, which is supposed to give the nail color a reflective rainbow effect. What does that mean? It claims that you’ll be able to distinctively see seven different colors traveling across the nail color. Can you? Continue reading →

OPI Extravagance Swatches There are some nail polishes that are so mesmerizing, they take your breath away even from the first coat. OPI DS Extravagance is one of them.

This is a scattered holographic polish I’ve worn several times because the formula is pure perfection. It has zero application issues – flows smoothly on the nails, goes on thin and workable, dries quickly, and has great pigmentation.

Now let’s talk about the color (the most exciting part)! It’s this wonderful berry purple with holographic sparkles that flash in a rainbow of hues. It’s lively. It’s pretty. It’s a firework for your nails!
