Hallowe’en is almost here. Are you ready for fright night? Bath & Body Works is! They’ve come out with limited-edition antibacterial gels for the occasion.
After a lot of store hunting, I finally got hold of the Bath & Body Works Zombie Squad PocketBac I really wanted.
This one’s supposed to smell like marshmallows, and it features a menacing silhouette of a hand reaching up. The undead rises from the grave! OoooOOOOooOoo!
What really makes the Bath & Body Works Zombie Squad PocketBac unique is the packaging – it’s not cutesy. And the label glows in the dark! How neat is that?
Come see what I think of the scent, and check out a photo of the label glowing in the dark.

Bath & Body Works Zombie Squad PocketBac Review
After trying and loving Bat Bite and Vampire Blood (which I previously reviewed), I was excited to get my hands on the Bath and Body Works Zombie Squad PocketBac because it seemed to be sold out at all my local stores. When I spied just 2 left in a neglected bin, I was quick on the draw to snatch those suckers up.
Tiny solid black beads are suspended in a clear gel. When you rub it on your hands, the first thing you smell is a brief shot of alcohol before it dries. You’re then left with a powdery marshmallow scent that’s definitely way more subtle than the crisp, soapy green apple scent from Bat Bite. I definitely prefer this fragrance because it isn’t so intrusive – it’s very soft and candy-like.
After using this, it doesn’t seem to dry my hands out like Purell can. It also doesn’t seem to moisturize them, either. But I didn’t buy it for that purpose, so it’s all good.
The petite size of the Bath & Body Works Zombie Squad Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel is perfect to throw in your purse and take with you. And the cap flips open easily, but not so easily that the contents spill out. So you won’t have to worry about ruining the lining of your designer purse.
And, of course, the glow-in-the-dark label is really fun! Part of the reason why I bought this was because of that. Another reason was that I love Hallowe’en.
This is a great seasonal item to pull out of your handbag. And even if you aren’t a huge fan of zombies, you have to admit that this is pretty unconventional Bath & Body Works packaging. For that alone, they get my stamp of approval.

Final Verdict: 8.5/10
Frequent and thorough hand washing is very important especially as we’re approaching Flu Season. But sometimes you don’t have soap and water handy…like on the subway.
The Bath and Body Works Zombie Squad Antibacterial Gel is practical because it kills most germs and leaves your hands feeling clean. However, it’s also very playful with the unique packaging and yummy scent.
If you’re lucky enough to see these still available in your store, grab it! The Bath & Body Works Zombie Squad Hand Sanitizer is wanted – dead or alive!
Which is your favorite scent in the Hallowe’en collection?
I actually got that little bottle of zombie goodness for my birthday this year from my aunt. I was stoked when I looked at it and thought to myself “how did she know I loved zombies?!” lol Apparently she didn’t, it was a fluke, but I’m so glad she got it for me. Even when the contents are gone, I’ll still keep the bottle. It’s just so nifty!
It’s so hard to track this one down, too, because so many people love it. Really cool how your aunt was able to find it. The smell is so yummy, especially if you layer with Bath & Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel, as I found out recently. I’m also going to keep my bottle after I use up all the product!
