Bath & Body Works Tropical Sorbet Float Anti-Bacterial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap Review & Pictures

Bath-Body-Works-Tropical-Sorbet-Float-Hand-Soap-Review-PicturesBefore summer’s officially over, I had to review theย Bath & Body Works Tropical Sorbet Float Anti-Bacterial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap. *Gasps for air* Long name!

(This was one of the soaps that I mentioned in my Haul of Shame post not long ago.)

I haven’t heard much about this scent, so imagine my surprise when I randomly sniffed this one and was smitten!

It’s always great to have pleasant surprises like this. Haha, unfortunately, I usually have bad luck and smell things in that store that make my nose crinkle.

My nose is filing a case against me as I type this. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Bath & Body Works Tropical Sorbet Float Anti-Bacterial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap Review

Fragrance

Tropical Sorbet Float smells as delicious as it sounds! ๐Ÿ™‚ The first time I smelled it, I told my friend that I wanted to drink it. (Of course I didn’t. I haven’t sniffed quiteย thatย much polish…) ๐Ÿ˜‰

The major thing I smelled was pineapple juice. It’s extremely sweet, so if you don’t like sweet, fruity scents, you’d better steer clear of this.

But it’s not just full-on pineapple juice. I can detect some floral notes, although I can’t pinpoint exactly what flowers they are from. This adds a little bit of softness to the pineapple so it’s not that sharp type of sweetness.

When you rinse your hands, some scent does linger on your skin, but it’s extremely faint. I literally had to put my hand right up to my nose (and literally touching my nose) in order to still smell it. So don’t worry about this soap being strong and overpowering any eau de parfum you may be wearing.

Efficacy

Just like all the Bath & Body Works hand soaps I’ve tried (and I’ve tried plenty!), this one is no exception – it cleans very well. Especially because it’s the Deep Cleansing formula, it’s extra powerful. For greasy hands, this stuff really cuts the slickness better than the Foaming formula…but both do clean well. This one’s just ramped up.

Also, there are exfoliating beads suspended in the gel. This helps to also cleanse, but…haha, sometimes it makes my hands feel pretty dry. I’d advise that you moisturize your hands after using this, or your skin may feel tight and dry if you wash your hands often like I do.

Packaging & Value

The packaging is very simple, which I like for a hand soap. And the pump dispenser works well. The only thing is that after you use the soap for a while, some of the gel tends to build up along the tip, but that happens with pretty much any soap dispenser if the soap is thick and gel-like such as this one.

The Deep Cleansing formula gives you the most bang for your buck because you only need a small amount to really clean well. Whereas, the foaming hand soaps usually require that you use more.

Plus when you get these soaps on sale (they pretty much always go on sale, so don’t pay retail for them), they’re very affordable.

Seasonal

This is a summer scent, and it’s being heavily discounted to make room for the fall scents. If you want this, better grab it quickly if you can still find it. Might as well back up the truck and fill ‘er up. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Seriously, though, I don’t know if they’ll bring back this scent next year, so instead of letting this be ‘the one that got away’,ย don’t let it get away!ย ๐Ÿ˜‰

Animal-Friendliness

According to the packaging, this product wasn’t tested on animals, so if you’re looking for cruelty-free products, you’ll be pleased with Tropical Sorbet Float.

Pros

  • Smells exactly like a fruity drink
  • Deep Cleansing formula provides effective cleansing
  • Exfoliating beads help to cut the greasy when washing
  • Currently heavily discounted on clearance
  • Not tested on animals
Cons

  • Exfoliating beads can make hands feel dry (Be sure to moisturize!)
  • Seasonal scent may not return next year

Final Verdict: 9.5/10

I love the way this smells, and I wish that I picked up more bottles while it was still around at my local store. Oh well, that’s okay. I still have plenty of other great soaps to try. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Is there a discontinued Bath & Body Works product/scent that you wish they’d bring back? What type of hand soaps do you typical go for? What’s the most number of bottles of Bath & Body Works hand soaps that you’ve ever bought in a single trip?ย (For me, it was only 8. Hehe…”only”.) ๐Ÿ˜‰

Their marketing team is pretty amazing, aren’t they? Imagine if Fendi adopted a similar marketing strategy and consumers said, “I only bought 8 Fendi purses in a single trip.” ๐Ÿ˜›

I got this earlier this year at the Annual sale and it’s actually in my bathroom right now. I am so in love with this soap. Eventhough it’s getting cold outside it let’s me hold onto a little bit of the summer. I really wish I would have gotten more than 1.

      Hey Ochid!

Maybe you can still find it in the clearance section? Sometimes they have bottles hiding there, waiting for loving owners. ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s also still available on their website for a heavily discounted price.
